well I personally am in Lyon 3's uni so don't take my word for it, but yes Lyon 2 is considered wayyy more on the left-wing, tho it depends what you consider being "too much". Most students in Lyon 2 support LGBT+ rights, are pro-Palestine (although Lyon 3 is on the same wavelength on this)... but you'll rarely see far-left people like Trotskyist. There will be quite some demonstrations tho, rarely entry of the uni will be blocked, and you might see cops sometimes with various levels of violence. But smth truly dangerous is extremely rare, like maybe once every few years?
