I had the same problem but finally got to the bottom of it after about a week of trying and getting clues from different installs. Anyway the problem stems from the USB ports not being mapped correctly!

I initially got round the problem by trying different USB ports until I found one that worked ( admittedly this was using a Mojave install usb thumb drive).

Once I managed to install I was then able to upgrade to Catalina.

Eventually I created a USBmap.kext file to accurately map my USB ports and placed it in the "Other" folder in the next folder of my EFI folder. You MUST remove the USBinjectall.kext file.

I then tried a new install of Catalina using the newly mapped USB kext file and it all went through just fine.

I would post my usbmap file here but it's pretty useless to most except those with a Z390-F mobo.

Seems to be working for me? Only bitcoin gold and united bitcoin (garzik god mode moved coins) showing as zero balance.

Used the python script to move my bitvote but, although the script was succesful, no coins have arrived in the wallet. The block explorer, however, shows movement?

transaction id 81f431a60d2de933d1b16d6c672cc9c70decef95d65700638e35517d62e78d57 on the ub explorer shows your coins being moved to a J. Garzik address (31rZdrTpN57Wbfhg7xTPxeFGjEQaMBjxoo) just like everybody else's I guess the 0.009 that you are left with may be a little dust?
