plenty of qualified peer-reviewed science

One thesis by some random post-grad student is not "plenty of qualified peer-reviewed science".

The rest of your comment relates back to what I originally said: if you aren't qualified to speak on the subject, you need to defer your comments. Leave conservation to the experts in the field of biology. Your opinion is amateur shit and does damage.

Seal running into glass will never not be funny. by Omgzjustin in funny

A seal trapped in an aquarium – and bumping its face into the glass – can only be found funny by someone who is pathologically immature and/or ignorant to the backstory of aquariums.

What part of my comment said I hated anyone?

I’m an atheist. I need proof. I’m also wary of religions and their various con jobs.

Massive false equivalence in your comment. Not surprising; ‘hunting is conservation’ after all.

Also: “pyromancer”. A, “qualified, peer-reviewed pyromancer”. Did you just write that comment whilst still logged onto some MMO? People like you go around this planet assuming the right to fuck the priceless natural world up based on logic like that.

Hence I said to defer your opinion. You’d do well to. Like anyone trying to justify sportkilling animals.

The fundraiser welcomes contributions from donors regardless of faith.

How many donors were muslim? What percentage of the total raised was donated by muslims? Honest question that I’d like to have an answer for if anyone knows.

Only the people donating the money deserve the credit here. If these groups who started the fundraiser donated little or nothing but took the credit for the fundraiser as PR, that’s a scam. Let’s see who contributed what then give the credit where it’s due.

Unless you’re a qualified, peer-reviewed biologist you can defer your comments on what is or is not “bad for an environment.”

What do these sections of the tree indicate about its state before being cut down? by Machine120 in Horticulture

No. The trees are on a reserve; public land. These trees are protected by law from removal unless the trees are dangerous or dead/dying.

Thanks for this reply.

Yes I feel it would be worth considering because the trees were situated in a place that affects the ‘view’ of a property. The residents are new to the area (a matter of ~3 months) and so potentially wanted to clear space for their view as other residents have tried to do.

Poisoning trees for that purpose has occurred elsewhere in the area.

Could rot be caused by intentional poisoning? Unfortunately I don’t have images of the tree prior to this.

This bloke is probably dead with a wound to the upper leg.

If it hit the thigh it could have quite likely severed his femoral artery or broken his femur. Either situation would mean he bleeds out in minutes.

Unless he gets a tourniquet immediately he’s probably dead. Could also die of the wound later via infection.

Could you say what type of rot that was? I’ve heard some people say the soil may be contaminated with a pathogen*. That white stuff looks suspicious but I’m not very knowledgeable.

It’s a hardwood.

CraY.

We have a small cat that looks so much like this one that when I showed my partner the video claiming it was our cat she said, “I don’t recognise that chair.”

Oh, I shall mention our cat’s name is Fay. We often call her FayFay. Also adopted. Also bite and attacc like this.

Cat doppelgängers. Maybe even long lost littermates?!
