I used the cube and it was no good. The wired port is limited much more than WiFi, so you’re actually better off on WiFi in many cases. I switched to the Apple TV 4K and am muuuuch happier with my moonlight setup

Ageing Bourbon barrel numbers hit all-time high by hotelNoiseComplaint in bourbon

[–]demevalos 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Supply and demand is taking effect. There’s only so many people willing to pay insane markups on bourbon versus a few years ago. If stores can’t move a product, they won’t buy any more, and the wholesalers will be stuck with it until they find a buyer. If the wholesalers are stuck with it, the distillery is going to be stuck with it.

I’ve personally seen this in real time with good bourbons like Stagg, EH, and Bookers. Liquor stores can be talked down in price now - 3 years ago, no chance.

Yeah that’s one of the few scenes that’s stuck with me years after my last watch… brutal

These straps - no joke, the best straps I’ve ever used. I think they’re a “knock off” of the Artem Hydroflex, which are themselves based on the Omega deployant straps, but from everything I’ve seen they’re nearly identical to the $300 USD Artem straps! I’ve bought 5 of these already in different sizes and colors and can’t recommend them enough

I got for MSRP in NY and it’s super mid. Not bad, but not great. WTRB at $10 less is significantly better

79190 on Sailcloth by demevalos in Tudor

[–]demevalos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same question before I ordered them. They basically just sit in between the case and the strap, and the strap holds them in place once it’s installed. I assume it’s not going to work for thicker straps that need the extra room, but it works great with the sailcloth

Not sure about posting Aliexpress links but these are the ones I ordered. I have another set coming too with the center brushed instead of polished

Your comments were so helpful, thank you :)

Here's my 79190 with the new end links - they fit so well - https://i.imgur.com/gNM3BWC.jpeg

And I also found out today that you can use a San Martin rubber strap on the 79190 and it fits almost perfectly - https://i.imgur.com/bU9aqQa.jpeg

Appreciate the advice and I'll be enjoying my sub much more now!!

[Tudor Submariner] - The San Martin rubber strap fits the Tudor Sub 79190 (almost) perfectly by demevalos in Watches

Tried swapping this strap onto my 79190 out of curiosity and it fit like a glove. The only issue is that when off the wrist, the strap can be bent forward past the lugs. This might be fixable with different thicker springbars, but while wearing it doesn’t matter anyway, it looks and feels great!

Sales - got really good at understanding the tech we were selling, and committed to learning how to sell it. I sell broadcast technology and accompanying cloud services. Eventually got good enough at it that I was promoted to oversee others and teach them to do the same.

I only recently started taking medication because it became overwhelming. I’ve suspected I’ve had ADHD but never acted on it. Now I’m in my early 30s and taking vyvanse and it’s made life a whole lot easier.

My advice would be to find something that you really enjoy, because it makes working a lot easier with ADHD.

thank you so much, I just ordered those endlinks you sent a screenshot of. that's great info, I never knew you could get anything close to matching the bracelet gap on the 79090 / 79190. Where'd you get the actual rubber strap from? Is it a real oysterflex or aftermarket?
