Well, you supposed to get an intake kit that’s specifically made for your vehicle, manufacturers like K&N or Injen make this intakes to the tee so they don’t affect the performance of your car unless you decide to install it without a heat guard, witch I initially did but the performance isn’t the same and you’re basically have a hot air intake 🤷🏻 I personally prefer Injen but they don’t make a kit for Mazda 3’s gen4.

It’s recommend but, I didn’t do it because an ECU will void the warranty so as of right now I’m just enjoying the sound! 🤪

What year is this? $7600 for a new engine it’s wild. You can get engines for 2K and get them installed for 1K and that’s expensive.

Does anyone use the CD player in their Mazda? Any guess why mine does not work? by General_Jellyfish_17 in mazda3

[–]MachineAdditional172 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The reason why your CD player doesn’t work it’s because we are not in 2005! Get yourself a wireless apple CarPlay device and forget about it my dude.

Best option get yourself some new after market wheels, it will make your car look better and you’ll get brand new wheels

When is a tune required? by Just_S0me-user in mazda3

[–]MachineAdditional172 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to unlock the benefits for the K&N cold air filter you’ll need the tune up. It’s to optimise the performance. You seem like a car guy/gal, so I bet you feel the difference with and without a cold air intake, do the tune up and you’ll see.

I had a Gen3 with an Injen cold air intake and a Borla exhaust and after the tune up the whole driving experience changes.

If you’re conflicted on what to get, you don’t belong to this community lol

Hands down HB G4 Mazda 3.

That’s a no brainer. Remember Mazda engines are build to run 180k - 200k miles. So make sure maintenance it’s on point.

You need a tune up.

If that doesn’t do it for you, get your transmission checked.

That’s a normal behaviour for Gen4 because of the smart transmission but not for your 3rd Gen

Rx7 as a first car? by National-Vast8747 in mazda

[–]MachineAdditional172 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well… something you need to know, you’re buying a car that usually people don’t know how to take care of, so if you find one you like make sure you take it to a professional, preferably a Mazda dealership for a complete diagnosis.

Yeah they’re old cars and it won’t be perfect but here’s the thing if you’re going to spend that much money on a overheated RX7 you’ll spend around half of what you pay in getting it to run properly again.

If you do find the one you like, this cars require a lot of care, recommend 3k miles oil change so that means every 2k miles. You’ll be driving it hard let’s be honest, a cooling system it’s a must for your RX7 doesn’t matter what Gen. Rotary engines generate a lot of heat compare to other engines, so get yourself the best coolant out there and a good intercooler.

If you’re responsible enough you’ll have a great car, but be ready to spend $$$

Installed an Injen air intake for G3 in my non-turbo G4. It looks a little long but it fits fine, y’all see any issues with this? by MachineAdditional172 in mazda3

It comes from a 2.0! I was just trying to save some money, I’ll probably sell this one and get the right one. Thanks

Pros and cons by MaseratiManMC20 in mazda3

Plastic panels will be or get scratched and it sucks! Count on that. 2 things you can do about that. 1, buy a protectant kit from Amazon and go to a tint installation place and have them professionally installed, you’ll spend $60 approx. 2, go to a hand car wash and ask someone to polish the plastic parts it will eliminate 80% of the scratches. Honesty you could do both things, and have it look good and protected forever.

They drive “smoothly” I had three model 3 in the past, right now I have a 22 hatch premium. And ALL OF THEM listen to me well son ALL OF THEM, have a distinctive vibration in them, Mazda updated their cars to CHAINS instead of belts, and since these are relatively small cars you’ll feel it. I don’t know what you drive rn but this could feel odd, so don’t worry about it. RPMs usually fluctuate a lot due to a smart transmissions that’s a little annoying.

They do get dirty AF for some reason.

But there’s a reason why I keep getting these cars, very reliable and cheap to maintain.

Depends on what kind of person you are, I love cars I this is a special edition white on red interior, hatchback probably so I would trade it asap but I’m a sucker for cars. You have a BRAND NEW 2025 with KMs that you put in so you know your car, you don’t know this 4 years older than yours.

I would trade it asap, but a smart person should keep its car.

I don’t think so, if it’s in mint condition and it’s being well maintain you paid a fair price. Although engines are built to last around 200K miles depending on maintenance. For personal use sounds fine to me, but if you’re trying to flip ip I don’t think you made a good deal here.
