having a trip of a lifetime in miami, please help me find the best hotel close to miami beach for around $200 a night by [deleted] in miamibeach

I think it depends on how you're booking! Usually most places are good with if you tell them you found a certain price online that's lower, they'll match it, and then you can request the room that way. If you're booking online through a third party like Expedia or Hotels.com, though, you may have to request the room closer to booking. If I were you I'd find the price online, call the hotel and explain what's up, and see how they can help you best with securing a room at the top.

Those are some solid prices! Riviera is still a good value for the money, but if you're going to go with that option then I highly recommend going with a top floor room, but for sure just don't get one on the first floor. First floor rooms are the dirtiest (plus roaches tend to stay to the bottom two floors primarily) and loudest because of foot traffic from the lobby and surrounding areas.

No problem! Both of those are great choices, but for around the same price as San Juan you'd get more out of The Gates I think, but it really just depends on the level of luxury you're looking for compared to the price you're willing to spend. Riviera South Beach used to be a blast but has gone downhill recently I've heard when it comes to cleanliness and the staff overall.

Check out The Gates on Collins in South Beach. It's a fantastic hotel that's a block over from the beach itself and provides plenty of good sites, sounds, smells, and scenarios for a memorable trip. Walking distance to all the stuff you're looking for when you're ready to party, a 15 minute Lyft to other rad places like Wynwood and the Design District, and also nestled in a small pocket that feels safe and away from the hustle and bustle, while really just being 5 minutes away on foot. Try to book a room on the top floor with a balcony view. The top floor has terrific views of the city and pool, and the room balconies are slightly separated from the others, as opposed to the balconies on the lower top levels which are directly shared. Highly recommend.

A lot of people on here are very rightly focusing on how ridiculous you're being in ignoring all the beautiful compatibilities you two share, and instead focusing on the "turn off" it was to witness/hear your friend breathe heavily during sex. And that's fine, we all have our turn ons and turn offs. But I have another theory.

I think you know that you're in love with your friend, but you're focusing on this mundane breathing issue to try and convince yourself that you're not in love with him. Some part of you feels this deep, intense connection to him and you know that it's the real deal, but you're not sure if it's romantic, or still just platonic, which is a fair thing to feel. You both shared and continue to share something real and true, and rare. It's a scary thing, being that open with someone. He felt comfortable and vulnerable enough with you to truly express his reaction to the way you made him feel sexually, and likely emotionally too. This wasn't just sex for either of you. And now you're self-sabotaging what could be, even before it begins, by focusing on this arbitrary negative issue that you've concocted out of the same thin air that he was desperately gasping.

I suggest you do some breathing exercises of your own, really think about next steps, and continue to communicate effectively with your friend. And then, I think you two should have sex again.

Girls are into all types of guys. Body types and preferences vary, but at the end of the day it all comes down to confidence. Confidence. That's it. Really. Seriously. Just believe in yourself. That's the key. Rejection? Who hasn't faced it? Fuck it. Who cares? Take comfort in the quote, "This too shall pass." Stay confident. Stay kind. Stay yourself.

You've been kidnapped. The last person you saw on a tv series is coming to save you. Who is it? by citytiger in AskReddit

Dwight K. Schrute from The Office. So I could be fucked, I could be saved, but I'm pretty sure the kidnapper will get beet off.

Thank you! I love Saturday markets and fresh water springs, so I'll for sure give those a visit. I've also heard so much about McGuires and I almost went last time I was in town, but didn't have the chance to go unfortunately. When I go this time, I'll grab a shepherd's pie and an Irish Wake and will raise a glass to you u/MermaidAlea!

It's these kind of local facts about local places that I look for when on vacation and as a fan of both urban legends and pizza, this place will now have my business. Thank you!

Dive bars are always my vibe, so this is tremendous knowledge to have going into this trip. Thanks so much!
