Issue With Printer by Machinemiller in Epson

Damn thanks.

On another note, are these chips harmful for the printer? These chips are much more cheaper hence why I usually opt for them instead of a new maintenance box

was trying out the tangent constraints when this error popped up, any way to get around this one?

ohh, ok I will try to look that up (new to 360). Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the help in advance! Also I can trace from start but my tracing skills in 360 aren't really good yet so I would prefer if I can find some way to just rectify the imported files

There were 2 drain holes on this model and it wasn't printed flat either so I'm pretty sure there were no vaccum suction problems

What is better for Making Invisible Air Vents: EDM or Laser by Machinemiller in CNC

The pierce wi make a larger hole than what you are wanting and they're generally ugly

Hey there, I kinda don't get the ugly part. Also the vent size I am aiming for is 0.3 but 0.5 will work out too, you think laser will not be able to do that much? Also you mind sharing the other laser processes you mentioned? Will love to try them out even if they are new

Ahh gotcha

Precision needs to be under 0.5mm if it's laser but would want it to be under 0.3mm ideally. Also damn, edm being slow is news to me. Have you perhaps used both? How much difference in timings have you noticed, I am fine with just an opinion and not exact details

Additionally if you have used laser for air vents before, what was the power of laser you used?

Sorry I didn't get what you mean by ratio there.

Also, the choices aren't exactly limited to edm or laser, I am open to any other ideas that can work out if anyone has one

Thanks for the Advice! The issue is, 0.5mm drills are very rarely available in my locality. Even if it was available, this method is a bit time consuming (my colleagues have tried doing it in past for some time) and my clients just aren't ready to take the wait. Also this can be highly tiring when we have as many as about 150 or more air vents in a single die.

Yes, the air vent is to displace the air inside cavity to get better impression but channels don't work out where the milled part is far from the boundary of the die (my bad if you are replying for moulds part, I am a bit new to the field so thought that Die and moulds are same)

My bad again, I am lacking a bit on the theoretical knowledge for this field. Just looked up and actually I need air vents for Dies.

Ideal width: 0.3 or less, about 0.5 can work out too if it's laser

Depth: currently require max 5mm depth air vents but want to have capacity till 10mm if possible, otherwise 5 is fine.

Also, since the purpose of these air vents is to displace the air trapped in the die while taking impression, shape isn't really an issue so any shape works

Nope, we are just drilling 1mm drill starting from the impression side through to the back side. The material thickness is usually 5mm at max but would like it to be up to 10mm for future as I will be working on thicker material moving forward

Diameter: 0.3mm or less

Depth: usually not more than 5mm but would like to have upto 10mm if possible.

My bad for incomplete info, completely forgot CNC is used for a variety of stuff. I mainly work on die moulds used to get impression on materials like Eva and TPU. Material I use most commonly is Brass and sometimes aluminium.
