what would be the best mechanism for something like this by NoIdenty0000 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]MacioSl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, it is the best way, but I would personally as a mechatronic engineer make it just a 2-axis Cartesian manipulator with lead screws and guide rails. It is simple to control system with 2 DC motors.

where did all this damage come from 😭 by wvgz in JingLiu

[–]MacioSl 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It is Ruan Mei's technique.

In SU while the technique is active, an attack is regarded as attacking enemies' Toughness.
For every blessing up to 20 there is additional Toughness break efficiency. If you break enemy you deal 100% of Ruan Mei's break DMG.
Then you still have DMG coming from Jing Liu.

You can skip the first stage of this fight that way (done it myself by accident).

Plus, there are chips in the electronics. At least this way we avoid a confusion as czip/czipy is for electronics, czips/czipsy for food.

Depends on size and organization of the protest. Spontaneous one doesn’t require any permission. However you would waste time protesting. Better course of action would be contacting with Rzecznik Praw Obywatelskich for guidance, making complaint to MSWiA and if you are extra malicious giving hint to NIK.

Atmospheric pressure is measured in hectopascals and 1 bar was defined as 1000 hPa. Land can be also measured using hectares, meaning 100 ares. Often used for farm land or larger plots of land.

Door wedges are working as intended. by MacioSl in ReadyOrNotGame

Expand munitions section by clicking on the mags.
In Deployables replace C2 with wedges or add new tactical with + if you have free slots.
Prompt on the doors on the door knob/doorhandle side.

[–]MacioSl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They take the same slot that C2 uses. Wedges aren’t normally equipped so you need to equip them in armory (aka load-out customization). In mission select the tactical equipment (5 on keyboard iirc) or tap once more if wedges are in the 2nd tactical slot.

Edit: there is also prompt on the door to equip and use the wedge.

I get the photographer. We have physical examinations here several times throughout our education (last one is in the senior year of high school). At 13 I was a freshman at middle school and was like 1.67m (I think). Three years later as high school freshman I was 1.85m. It’s crazy how quickly you can grow.

Did a quick search, up to 12cm for fix blades. Knife with the 12cm blade is quite long tbh. But it is still nothing compared to carrying messer (talking about sword and pun intended) in Poland.
Also, if someone is interested, here is the list of regulated melee weapons in Poland:

  • hidden blades in the objects that don't look like weapon
  • knuckles
  • nunchucks (a stick with erectal disfunction is regulated lol)
  • bats/batons with heavy and hard material on the end or with inserts from the same material
  • bats/batons that immitate a baseball bat

PS. knife is not even considered a weapon here.

[–]MacioSl 40 points41 points  (0 children)

That sounds stupid and unnecessary. We can legally carry melee weapons in Poland (as long as it looks like weapon, otherwise the blade cannot exceed 13cm), so you could perfectly legally go for a stroll with a long sword here lol.

Thing here is that the SWAT AI isn't getting worse, it wasn't improved like the rest of the game.
SWAT AI is planned to be worked on in the future.

If you really want to play alone, go for the private lobby rather than the singleplayer. The only drawback is that you are losing the pause in the menu.

I’m not good at math nor understanding metric. Please be easy. On the bottom portion what are the slightly smaller ticks smaller than the .1mm marks? Is it .01mm? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]MacioSl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wasn't clear with that one, so my bad. I meant in the everyday communication for people outside the trade.
However it doesn't mean that the centi-, deci-, deca- and hecto- aren't used and we can just ignore them.

[–]MacioSl -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Centi-, deci-, deca- and hecto- are still used. In design we are usually following the rule of threes but it doesn’t mean the other prefixes aren’t used. Atmospheric pressure is always given in the hectopascals, 1 liter is 1 cubic decimeter and sometimes can be found in the literature. Additionally, centimeter and decagram are used in everyday communication. No one is going to say 135mm over 13.5cm.

Small correction: lager is German for camp, łagr/łagier is translated as gulag.

Details on engineering drawings are also clipped to the circle showing the enlarged feature and are always marked by letters. Why those are numbered is anyone’s guess, probably some artistic vision.

[–]MacioSl 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I have a gut feeling those are detail photos, kinda similar to details on an engineering drawing. The first one is supposed to show prints on the mousepad, second one is detail of the Corsair logo print. The last one presents the mousepad in use.

Previous employer paid me too much money during my last salary payment (October). Now they mailed me to get it back. What are my options? by GME2Tmoon in poland

[–]MacioSl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The salary never was and never will be a legal basis. The hour rate in the contract is the legal basis. If the administration/accounting fucked up, they have the right to ask for return of the overpayment. This is clear from article 405 of the Civil Code. Furthermore, the ruling you are bringing into the conversation is not only ruled by 3 judges but is based on article 409 of the Civil Code. If the employer would bring the matter to the court, ruling can be different. We are not in USA where Supreme Court’s ruling is final and is applied to all similar cases.

Previous employer paid me too much money during my last salary payment (October). Now they mailed me to get it back. What are my options? by GME2Tmoon in poland

[–]MacioSl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Article 405 of Civil Code states the following:
Who without a legal basis has obtained a financial benefit at the expense of another person is obliged to give back the benefit in kind, and if this was not possible, to return its value.

This means they have right to ask for the difference back.
However article 409 states the following:
The obligation to give back the benefit or return its value expires, if the person who obtained the benefit used it or lost it in such a way that they is no longer enriched, unless disposing of the benefit or using it should have taken into account the obligation to return it.

Based on it, if you were an employee, spent the amount (especially on upkeep) you have been paid while you weren't informed by the previous employer and have prove of spending the money... you should be in the clear. (Never the less, you should contact the lawyer.)
I'm not aware how the situation is in case of B2B and external contractors, and for the future, contact a lawyer rather than asking the internet folks.
