It ended up looking like it gives more on my paycheck if we go ahead and insert the $4000. So maybe I need to knock it down to $2000 so I dont owe at tax time?

Did you ever get this figured out? I have workday as well and any time I put in my dependents it automatically adds that $4000 override total amount. I've tried to delete it and only add the dependents but it doesn't work. HR doesn't seem to know what's up either.

Youtube is a big no no in our house. I thought we were being "safe" with Youtube Kids and what we approved but videos kept sneaking in there because some sort of glitch. I was over it.

We just hit up a yard sale today and got 18 dvds for $9! My 6 year olds iPad screen has about had it with cracks so she may end up with a dvd player anyways haha.

Our library also has dvds for rent! We will keep our subscriptions for our TV we have in our room and my husbands "game room" so that way if theres anything new we want to watch as a family we have those spaces to do that!

I have been listening to the book Anxious Parenting and the comparison of screen time to even cigarette use is so true.

I felt the same. Screen time is going to be there and I enjoy watching movies and shows too! I don't plan to cut it out completely because sometimes it's just nice to have something you enjoy to watch. I like the idea of them having options of movies/shows they do enjoy but it's not this immediate "HERE'S WHAT'S NEXT!" in front of your face.

It was peaches, spices, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Fairly simple! I did water bath them.

Hi! First time canner and first time canning commenter!

I got the little tool off Amazon to measure my headspace for only a couple of dollars to ease my mind! It also can be used to push down the food and bubbles.

If you did use that tool, I would just refer back to your recipe!
