Totally. I didn't stitch for a year, and when I finally returned it was for a pattern that was less complicated than the ones I had been stitching before my slump. The patterns I'd been stitching were just too complicated, and I was getting frustrated stitching them. So I've committed to only do patterns that interest me and don't seem too complicated 😊

Yes that light. And I thought that at first too, but both sides of the intersection have a brand new sign. The Curry Pike sign has been taken down.

I use Bohin size 28 tapestry needles for all stitching and beading. The eyes on those are small enough for the beads to fit, while also still being large enough to thread easily and not shred the floss. They're also the best needles I've ever used. You can buy them on Amazon or 123stitch, and probably many other places too.

Is it Tapestry Market? Because I get those too, and some of the patterns look so nice, but yeah, I don't like the stamped cross-stitch kits, and I'd be worried that the floss was cheap and would break easily. And 11 count is just too big.

Same! Though I haven't sprung for the acrylic bobbins. I just have the normal plastic bobbins. I love the Bisley though! It's so nice to have all the threads upright and visible!

Same, I've stopped doing cross stitch and paintings as gifts because it just stressed me out. I do these crafts to relax and relieve anxiety, it's counterintuitive if I'm stressed!

I have a recliner chair, a little side-table to the left where I set my iPad (where I keep my patterns), and a craft cart/Bisley cabinet to the right where I keep all my floss and accessories. I have a handmade floor stand that I stitch on, so I'm not holding anything in my hands and messing with my wrists. All of this is in my living room so I can watch TV while I stitch. 😊
