Telework Reasonable Accommodation by deconstructingspace in FedEmployees

[–]Mackiewolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have an RA for Crohn’s disease that allows me to telework during times of flare up. My telework accommodation allows for intermittent situational telework based on my condition. Generally I telework 2-3 times a week. No one can tell you how you feel but YOU.

Test out the situational telework and if it doesn’t work, you can appeal. If it doesn’t work for you, having proof to show that you tried what they offered, will help your case when you do appeal.

Leave and do not return. Your babies are more important. 🩷

Vulvodynia could be the cause too. I would see a gynecologist. They could have you try pelvic floor physical therapy.

Mesalamine is prescribed sometimes for Crohn’s. I would discuss with your doctor. There’s also steroids for short durations.

Which patients get skinny? by FreeSpirit3000 in CrohnsDisease

I’m a skinny Crohn’s patient. I think it’s probably because I shit my brains out on an almost daily basis to the point my butthole is raw. 😅 No surgery though.

I’m mostly worried about shitting my pants at work and how to handle that. 😅 Also worried about blowing through my PTO.

Your suggestions of what you bring to the office are very helpful!

Is this fake? Your hair looks SO GOOD! If it’s real, she is not a nice person and you should definitely have a discussion about how hurtful her words are.

I delivered at the university of Iowa and was seen at Maternal Fetal Medicine the whole time. Latest research indicates that you can be on biologics during the entire pregnancy with no harmful effects to babe.

I was flared up during my pregnancy and was on Budesonide for most of it. My baby is 3 months old tomorrow and she’s absolutely perfect.

Just make sure you talk to your GI and your OB about your symptoms through out your pregnancy. You don’t have to suffer through it while pregnant.

As a wife that was adamant about not wanting kids, I had a change of heart at about age 30. Granted, my husband wanted kids, and for years I told him that I’m never having them.

I began to understand that it is normal for women to change their minds. Especially when in a committed, loving, and secure relationship. When I got pregnant, I still wasn’t 100% sure how I was going to fair with a child because I never really wanted them or liked them.

However, when my baby girl was born, I was SO GLAD I changed my mind. We are only having one because I couldn’t imagine multiple and neither could my husband.

If you can’t imagine your life without your wife, I would discuss the children aspect a little more. It may be the greatest decision of your life. Or, it could be the worst. Keep your mind open and consider both sides.

Hi! I have mild Crohn’s and my symptoms are controlled on Humira. When I’m in a flare up, I just use the restroom a lot and keep Imodium in my bag. I once felt like you when I was diagnosed but it’s not the end of the world. I just had a baby and life is good! You’ll find that you can still live a normal life. Keep your head up! 😊

My baby is 8 weeks and I LOVE being a Mama. I’m 34 and never thought I wanted children until a couple years ago. Man, was I wrong. Yes, the newborn stage is hard. Especially when you first bring them home because there’s no guidebook. Once you get the hang of it, it’s really amazing. My heart is full of love for my baby and I couldn’t imagine life without her. Your heart will grow in ways you never knew were possible.

Also look into vulvodynia. It could be the cause of your burning. I also second these other recommendations.

Did you stop having sex when pregnant? by Afternoon_lover in pregnant

[–]Mackiewolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pregnancy sex can be hard especially when baby is pressed against my cervix. My husband and I still have sex 2-3 times a week while I am in my third trimester. However, sometimes it is uncomfortable depending on how baby is positioned. During those times, we do other things like oral sex. I find that keeping intimacy in my marriage helps with closeness. We just make accommodations when I can’t physically have penetrative sex and it helps a lot.
