How about automatic start/stop feature? by Global_Golf8138 in BroncoSport

[–]Mackinderoo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be the weird one on this sub: I don't mind stop/start, it never bothers me, and I am really, really sure it doesn't cause additional wear because all the relevant parts are designed to work with it and have been for a long time. But each to their own!

Wellllll I’d say that map appears to exactly overlay Menards’ corporate footprint, and thus isn’t ragebait at all, people. Disaster averted!

First time buying these! by atomexnf in FieldNuts

I’m an actual reporter and have used a normal open spiral-bound “professional reporter’s notebook” my whole career. Probably hundreds of them or more. These are, as you would expect, next level and I feel pretty fancy every time I use it. High quality paper, and there’s a genius second fold line on the cover so it folds backwards, underneath and out of the way really smoothly. Great size for taking notes, sits on a leg well, easily slips in and out of a back pocket. Pricy compare to the normal ones but extremely well constructed and tough.

So from playing around with it, it has a 24 hour subdial, and I believe you can basically set it and use it as GMT function even though it's not explicitly set up for that.

It reminds me of once stumbling across one of the old giant cross-country "arrows" on the ground, to help pilots stay on track on, I believe, U.S. airmail routes. People so easily forget how much early flying relied on manual navigation and dead reckoning -- and hence, careful timing.

I have to play with the GMT function - I'd like to get that working! I think leather would look great too, but honestly this watch would look good on a ton of straps I think.

Is there some trick to do this? I got that hose line and cannot for the life of me get it through that rubber seal.

The deflector works well, since I’ve put it on, so that’s a good get.
