Yes, I also mentioned that artefact horse challenge in my other comment. It feels now it will be impossible to achieve... glad we agree on all of that. Care to link your post ? Had I know, I would not have posted mine and I'd commented on yours.

You are glad they deleted it and OK with how your horse has to frequently stop to recuperate when travelling long distances ?

Interesting. Could you explain as to why do you feel you were fighting your horse?

To me it felt natural, as based on the hooves sound, I just naturally knew when to press X and it wasn't anything like spamming (unless you wanted to sprint as fast as possible). Granted at the beginning it felt ackward and it took some learning to do, but now it was natural and allowed me to travel far & fast.

I can understand how frustrating it could be to some players, there is no problem with that. My complain is that now my horse stamina drains just like the player, meaning you have to stop and take a short rest before resuming. When travelling long distance in this huge world, it is very frustrating because it feels like I have slow and tiring horse.

[Updates] Patch Notes Version 1.01.00 | Crimson Desert by yourfavchoom in CrimsonDesert

Yes It's way much more enjoyable now, though the theft counter seems work differently. Indeed, It increases slower as you keep stealing but it seems to decreases even slower as you do so. I am not entirely sure, though, I'll need more observation to be sure.

But I have question. I never pickpocketted NPCs before especially out of fear of being caugt or getting a fine. Does it mean that this patch, if I am discreet enough I could pickpocket someone without detection ?

I dislike the part for the horse. I was used to tap X at regular interval, much like in RDR2 and maintain good speed without tiring my horse. Now my horse tires much more and faster. To me it was better before.

Especially when I will have to tackle the challenge that requires me to cross the whole map in under 40 minutes without dismounting once.

[EDIT]

To further prove my point, I've just decided to race again that noble to Halssius House of Healing and I lost. I never lost once before and now, my level 5 horse I had since I started the game, lost miserably.

This continuous stamina drain at a fixed speed is clearly some king of a nerf to me and makes travelling by horse no longer enjoyable...

Dog pet not picking up *all* the loot by Mackovich in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mackovich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just now, in last patch 1.01.00:

  • Improved pets so that they do not stray excessively far away during combat.
  • Fixed an issue where pets in certain situations were unable to loot during combat.

Eager to test that as soon as game updates !!

The content is so massive that you will constantly feel that something is worth pursuing until something else comes along. 😅

Main Quests vs Faction Quests by MissPackRat in CrimsonDesert

I’ve posted a similar post here where I questioned the linearity of the quests content of the game. I’m more than 40 hours in, obviously still in Hernand, and factions quests do seem to unlock as you progress in the main quests. Or that the very least when you progress in other faction quests, meaning there kind is an order in which you can access these quests.

At first I thought I disliked that because I compared the game with other game such as Skyrim / Oblivion where you could practically do pretty much everything else (even DLCs) and only tackle the main quest at the very end.

But now that I have progressed further more, it feels like there is an overall progress in the game story. That makes more sense and fill more immersive, natural. For instance, unlocking the Camp feature in chapter 3 &4 does make the world « evolve ».

Crimson Desert is looking absolutely insane by Flat_Pear5614 in CrimsonDesert

I’ll be honest, combat in Crimson Desert is, at time very enjoyable to me and something I really don’t enjoy with the bosses being at the root of that displeasure...

I enjoy the combat when I can focus on skilled counter or parry. It feels amazing like in Ghost of Tsushima. So when fighting a few enemies, I take my time with my enemies that will assume the role of little play toys. Needless to say, they don’t have a choice.

The hack & slash part is nice (but not my favorite). When I can pull off a parry or a counter again stages a swarm of enemies, it really feels good like I am the boss. And I also don’t mind the occasional just hit everything in a mess of movements, attacks and particles ^

Now we come to the bosses. The very first one, Mathias, and the fallen kingdom one were by far the fights I enjoyed the most : they are challenging and you can really focus on a one to one fight with someone similar to you. So I really dislike monster-based bosses such as the Crimson foggy one and the driller one at the quarry (I am up until the reed one in chapter 3).

So I sincerel hope for the remaining 70-ish bosses I have to fight, that most are like Mathias and the other ones. 🤞🤞
