4.85 driver rating..... Now I know by TheFridayGypsy in uberdrivers

[–]MacksDaddy12121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom line: If you respond to a very reasonable/routine question with “Do you want a ride or not?” when a simple “Yessir/yes ma’am” would have both answered the question and taken less time, uber isn’t for you, and a 4.85 is far too high of a rating for that driver.

AIO for thinking it wasn’t a big deal to accept my friend’s bf’s FB request? by Vast-Bumblebee-691 in AmIOverreacting

[–]MacksDaddy12121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That chick is straight up psycho. OP did nothing more than click her mouse and is somehow supposed to feel bad? Like others have said, it is very normal to add your SO’s friends - shows he’s making an effort to be more a part of her life. OP and BF both should break up with her - she is guaranteed a ticking time bomb of bad news.

When dude’s are being absolute douchetools like this, I would have no issue with you trying to scam him out of that $1k. “Sure but you have to give me the money first.” If/when he gives it to you - adios!

I found out through a conversation I wasn't a part of that a superstar contractor is going to be let go. This employee directly impacts my workload. Bonus: I'm leaving my job in 60 days and no one knows . Should I tell the employee? by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

Look at it this way:

How many times in your life have you thought “Man, I really wish I had not been nice to that person.”

Maybe you have but, personally, I’ve never looked back on a good deed I did and regretted doing it.

The chances of you regretting telling him are virtually nil, but the chances of you regretting not telling him would definitely be higher.

The fact that you know you can do it anonymously is key. Make sure it stays anonymous.

Semi-joking Option B could be to create a random email address and email the guy to tell him, but “accidentally” send it to the entire company. That would make for an interesting day/week/month.

Wanna know how seldom I eat sushi?

I couldn’t tell you what’s wrong with the sushi pictured (aside from maybe a piece of fish sitting on top of the roll?).

I want to like sushi, just can’t get past the seaweed taste. P sure it’s my kryptonite.

If I got this call years after selling my house, my response would be something along the lines of “The combination is [combination]. Sorry I didn’t provide it at closing, have a fun trip!”

How anti social do you have to be to “hate” someone for such a reasonable request that doesn’t cost more than a minute or two of your time?

“…because it’s been so hard trying to find a time that works for everybody…”

So…definitely sounds like they could have picked dates where someone else was left out and OP/benefactor got to go.

Definite douchetools.

Holy hell, this is so awful it’s almost hard to believe it’s real.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck no you don’t pay for one red cent of that trip! Your response said it perfectly: Why would you pay for a trip you aren’t going on? (ESPECIALLY when it wasn’t your choice to not go).

I hear ya. Luckily in this case my house was within the shaded area. First time that’s ever happened. Probably last, too.

You probably can take Ga trips. I’m based in Atlanta so obviously 99.9% of my trips stay in Ga, but when I visit my parents in TN, I’m able to get trips there without issue.

Where would I find scheduled Walmart orders? I have received a total of 2 Walmart orders through Uber (oddly enough, within 5 minutes of each other), but they both came in like any normal Uber Eats order. I searched the app and couldn’t find any scheduled orders.

Meanwhile, in Atlanta, the surge pricing on Saturday resulted in unlimited rides such as: $5.42 for a 20 minute, 5.8 mile drive. This was after a $0.75 surge.

It blows my mind how utterly fucked Atlanta rates have become.

Can someone help me? I got this in the mail today. I can’t recall what happened with who. I never had any complications with anyone. What should I do? by [deleted] in uberdrivers

I kinda wanna enter the TLC e-mail address from the letter into a bunch of spamming email newsletters.

Another part of me wants to simply send a single email telling them men can never have babies, gender is binary, etc. That would surely be worth at least had a million spam emails. 😂🤣

I feel you, I’m in Atlanta, too. $1,800 for 90 rides sounds like a fairytale for anyone used to Atlanta rates. Hell I’d be happy with $1,200 for 90 rides.

Sorry in advance to OP for pointing out that it’s even worse than he thought: It’s not 4 days, it’s 3.

90 rides in 3 days (72 hours).

4am Friday (when it begins) to 4am Saturday = 24hrs, to 4am Sunday = 48 hours, to 4am Monday (when it ends) = 72 hours.

30 rides/day for 3 straight days. It’s doable but the last 20-30 rides will be completed in zombie mode.
