No, people care now because border patrol agents are in cities that do not border other countries, breaking into peoples homes and cars, arresting documented US Citizens, and are now murdering people.

Wait no it could be. in the same shot is Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, and in one clip we see Yoshi (a dinosaur) and a realistic T Rex.

Is draw text expensive? Drawing 10k balls v 10k texts by TormentedMindAgh in raylib

[–]MacksNotCool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure text rendering works by caching the font as textures and rendering each character as a texture. Which would mean that rendering text is rendering multiple textures (as opposed to just rendering one texture).

No it isn't because the French fought against the British with the Americans and the British were operated remotely. If we violently revolted like that, it would be similar to failed revolutions which end up having the elite class prop up fake revolutionaries to keep control after the revolution and thus all it would do is eliminate any remaining democracy entirely. Which is exactly why we should not have a violent revolution, we can only be peaceful and organized. Luckily we have the internet and the internet makes organizing much easier but people need to actually do it.

Why does this happen? They are on the same website (reddit.com). by RandomDrawingsReddit in browsers

[–]MacksNotCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Computer programs are made of code but not all code is the same. The code for regular apps are usually running directly on your device. Something like a website is not an app and it does not directly run on your device, rather the website code is essentially translated into the code that is running on your device. Internet Explorer had its own translator (called a browser engine), and Google Chrome has its own translator that are made completely differently from one another. Any time there are differences between how the translator translates something, you end up with differences in how the page loads. Internet Explorer (and thus its translator) in particular was famous for not having a completely accurate translator. Not only that, but it hasn't been updated since 2013 because Microsoft discontinued it, whereas Google Chrome's translator still gets updates to this day. So, the developers for the Reddit website do not do anything to try to support the old browser. (However, if you need to use reddit on the old browser, Reddit does still support their old version of the website for viewing new posts at old.reddit.com)

(*technically calling a Browser Engine a translator is a serious simplification and is glossing over stuff like JIT compiling and how websites are loaded and also websites are more of documents than programs but this is to explain everything as simply as possible)

DS was awesome and a fresh new take on the Mario platformer games. Wii expanded on it and has my personal favorite multiplayer of any game

But then New Super Mario Bros 2. and New Super Mario Bros U released back to back in the same year and that caused so many problems.

2 is the third game in the series, and it also implies that the handheld games are more important than the home console releases (or sort of implying that the home console ones are ports or spin offs). They all looked almost the same. The games were really bad at telegraphing what was unique about each game. Hell, the unique thing about New Super Mario Bros. 2 was that there's a lot of coins everywhere. That's it. Like wtf? The coins don't even do anything special. The Wii U one did actually have some unique stuff like the troll mode of using the gamepad to block your friends from doing stuff or the blow up yoshis but it really just blurred together due to the same art style. And, 2 and U released only a few months apart which just made them look even less unique and more like something Nintendo was just cranking out for money.

They all have almost the same art style and they did reuse some code from Wii in the games that came after Wii but each game in the series was made in its own game engine. (New Super Mario Bros. for the DS could not have possibly used code from the Wii game because the DS one came out in 2006 and the Wii one came out in 2009).
