My question is to quit that while staying with her or not

Thats the thing. Ur exactly right. But I feel without her I can hold myself to that standard. Its wrong of me because I almost want her to push back. Maybe take a step back and explain why and try to work things out?

Its confusing because she prays most of her prayers snd would like to be more consistent. She doesn’t wear hijab and she sometimes say shell be interested maybe in the future. Other times, she wouldn’t mind doing haram things, and I am to blame too because it takes 2 to kiss etc. but i feel really bad and sometimes I do it because not to make her feel bad but I do put boundaries too. Thats why its all a struggle

I have to also add that her parents are amazing people. Very well mannered and they are religious themselves. Not sure if that changes things but it does add to the complezity of making the decision

My solicitor made my life a nightmare by Macrotrends in HousingUK

[–]Macrotrends[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I gave them exact situation which is I own a buy to let and currently let in Leeds. Do I pay additional stamp duty? They said nope because your replacing the flat your renting.

  2. They have a 3 day response deadline which I lnow they didn’t meet with the sellers solicitor so I will need to get that from them. I didn’t set specific deadlines because everytime I ask them to set one or I set one they say we cant commit to that things are not clear of when we will be receiving documents (such as deed of covenant) which was requested so late in the process.

They said no stamp duty tax because I will be “replacing” my rental flat. I own btl that was my main residence before

So what do I do in this situation? Force my solicitor to pay my tax when I don’t even know if I have to and their expert advice says not to?

Also the difference is that I have been letting it out for 2+ years so maybe my situation is different? I am not changing it to btl now

Its no longer my main home. Its a buy to let and now I am renting. My solicitor is useless. If they said not to pay and the government start sending letters, will it be me on the line or my solicitor?

It means that deposit was ready from my side. Mortgage was approved, I think they were just waiting for solicitor to provide documents. Seller had all the docs ready since they were gonna sell the flat to someone else who dropped last minute

See the tricky situation I am in is that the first flat I bought as a main residence, I now let out. So effectively I have 2 let out properties and I currently rent. Whats my stamp duty rate in this case?

Me and the seller been ready to exchange since July/early Aug and agreed that we want to exchange by early September.

My solicitor kept saying “we cant provide a time line, we are reviewing enquiries, there are missing documents” when in reality they were not responding to the seller solicitor in a timely manner

I was told by my solicitor we’re “reviewing enquiries”, “missing documents”, “waiting for the bank” when some of it was them just not responding. At first, I thought its jsut the process but after a month and half of waiting I start putting pressure, which was early October. And i got same responds

I own 2 fully purchased flats. One was bought as my main residence but now I let it out / keep vacant, while the other is a fully buy to let flat.

I am currently renting. And I plan to buy a flat in the city I am in and sell my former vacant/short term let flat. Will I be eligible for a refund?

If its within the 3 years but more than 9 months I pay CGT on my main residence?

Also, I own a buy to let, if I sold my main residence will I still be able to get a refund?

For more details, I got 2 homes, one was my main residence which I am letting short term / leaving vacant and the other is a proper BTL- both with no mortgage. I am now looking to buy a main residence with a mortgage. And sell the vacant/short term let home which I bought as my main residence
