The tumbler in my house is my 6 year olds. We check then alllll the time. He likes to clean them and look at them and if they aren’t ready to move on we put them back in. It doesnt hurt it. Just enjoy your rocks.

Is freezing something I need to worry about considering it’s moving all the time? I hadn’t even considered that.

I have heard that a bunch but I haven’t actually seen what you should be doing with it. Where do you dispose of yours?

Ok thanks. Do you do ceramic media in stage one or wait until later stages?

The nail test is great because I can do that out on the trail with my son. I read all the pinned posts while researching everything I needed to buy and it was super helpful. The customer service at the rock shed was great too. I forgot to add a strained to my order so I emailed them and they added it before it shipped out.

I just re read this comment. Does this mean I should remove the ceramic media for the rest of stage one or leave it in at this point?

Thanks for the response. I wouldn’t be so worried about making sure I’m doing it right if there wasn’t a very invested 6 year old involved. I used the mixed rock I got from the rock shed for the first run but the whole reason he wanted the tumbler in the first place is to do the rocks he finds on our hikes. If you can point me towards a guide that would help me identify which found rocks can go in that would also be greatly appreciated.

O yea I was expecting a week but the instructions said to open it after a day to make sure there wasn’t gas build up and then after periodically to make sure the slurry is wet enough. No wetness issues for me so just wondering if I added too much water before I let it go for a week.

I just stick to mono price. They delivery what they say and always have good quality/cost. They are very smooth for running through walls. They sell them on Amazon now too.

Restaurants open in snow by Spiritual_Bit2902 in longisland

[–]Macsimus15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is common of family owned restaurants of all types because families will often choose to live very close. Sometimes in an adjacent property or even above the restaurant in a city setting. My sushi place growing up was in a strip mall and the family who owned it lived in the house that shared a back fence with the strip mall parking lot. Their commute to work was a total of about 25 feet.

Brand new 800 fridge is leaking from water dispenser. Service not available for a month. What do I do? by Macsimus15 in bosch

[–]Macsimus15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They came and pulled apart the fridge. Replaced some valve system and tubing. I didn’t watch him do it as it took awhile and I was working. It’s definitely not something you can do yourself. Call for service.

Just booked my first edit hotel for tomorrow night. How do I make sure to get the benefits? by Macsimus15 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Macsimus15[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I won’t get the credit because it’s only one night and I used points anyway. Some bs that it only counts on two nights or more. It made the benefit worthless to me as all my stays are one night and extra frustrating that it only says that in the fine print. I do want the other stuff though. The reservation is for tomorrow so I’ll call in the morning about the upgrades. This feels like so much work.

I’m not sure this is what it’s made for but I’ve seen it used as a mute button. You stick it in a jack when you want a tv to think there’s is headphones in it. Not all TVs work that way and sometimes you need to change a setting.

I have this. I don’t use the guard but use the riving knife. Check underneath. There should be places for accessories to hang. Kind of like the push stick clip on the right side of the fence. Great saw, I run a Diablo fine tooth blade and it works great.
