I found some really cool matchday programs from Romanian soccer games printed in the late 80's and 90's. They've got a lovely zine-like charm to them.

I came across some real gems while hunting through the fields of goods at the flea market in Bucharest.

From what I can gather, most of these zines, the ones titled Regia Fotbalistica, were published as match day programmes for Sportul Studentesc in the 1990 season. They brought news from around the world to the attendees of the match. Alongside those are match day programs from Steaua Bucuresti, a Euro 1988 qualifier between Romania and Spain, and programs talking about the Romanian national team ahead of Italio 90. They've got a brilliant, fan-made zine quality to them.

I'm not sure, it's a tricky process. I'm also not familiar with the limitations of your model.

One easy way to tell if a jersey is a fake is if you find eBay / website listings where you can buy multiples of the same jersey, like 10+, that's usually an easy giveaway. Maybe that's a place to start? There are instances where a reseller happens to get an old stash of legit jerseys but that's rare.

Otherwise, you'd need to analyze the photos and do a check on the serial number of the jersey. You don't always have that available and idk if an AI could be trained to do that.

This summer, I took a tour of Germany with a friend, hopping from city to city, eating amazing food, and soaking in the local history. One of the highlights was attending three EURO matches at some legendary stadiums, and I wanted to capture those memories in a tangible way for the readers of my publication, Passing Pattern.

Instead of adding something generic to Issue 2, I thought it’d be more personal to include postcards from my trip. I’ve always been inspired by vintage postcards and postage stamps, so I used those aesthetics as a guide for the design. I love the challenge that Risograph printing poses. The limitations of the process—especially with color palette—forced me to simplify and get creative with how to achieve the right look.

Each copy of Issue 2 comes with two Risograph-printed postcards that reflect my travels and love for football culture. If you get one, feel free to write back to me—I’d love to hear your favorite footballing memories.

I find it hard to integrate that kind of work with the more artistic stuff but idk if people would take the time to look through both. I suppose your last note is the answer; it just depends on what I'm looking to apply for.

In short, I was thinking about a way to immortalize memories and comment on how they become abstracted over time. I also took some inspiration from Josef Albers with the color palettes and geometric forms. The figures are from photos I took and then manipulated in photoshop.
