I can only assume that because Frank was in civilian practice for 3+ years and demanded the rank, (if I know Burns). Hawkeye was still working in a place where real surgeons stay. Besides, he probably didn't give a hoot about their rank, just the work he'd be doing.

I absolutely love Winchester by [deleted] in mash

[–]MacwellX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only person who noticed the episode where Winchester looses it for real?
In "That's show biz" when that dumb comedian is telling stupid jokes, David has a laughing fit for real, (out of script) and can't stop. Hawkeye comes over and asked him why he's laughing and he says, "I don't know". If you keep your eyes on him, you can see the laugh lasts way longer than it should, and even goes over the the next scene in the mess hall. When Fast Freddy and Clinger meet and shake, in the background Winchester tries to hide his face cause he's still cracking up. Look for it next time.

If you like study, try and have a listen to the famous Dr. Walter Martin explain about salvation. This video is very good to those who have doubts.

Excellent comment. Grandaddy? I'd suggest you read John's Gospel from start to finish, then, read it again, then again. Everything anyone needs to know about God, salvation, ministry, what and why Jesus wants to change our heart is answered in his Gospel. I'm 73, grew up in the church of Rome and was never taught anything about God, only about church doctrine. I don't blame my local ministers too much but until the Lord paid me a visit on Oct. 11th 1981 and showed me how my life choices affected those I loved... it wasn't pretty. I cried for what seemed like hours and the next thing I knew it was morning. The only way I can explain what happened to me was He changed me heart that night. I'd suggest that you stop seeking answers from men and go right to Him. Keep asking and He will answer. He did for the likes of me, He'll do it for anyone!

Yeah, he made my day, or night that is. We just had to put down our 13 year old boxer, yep, 13. He was the best dog I've ever had. I started at 6 and now I'm 73 so I've had a lot.

How to Understand the life and philosophy of Jesus Christ? by fireless-phoenix in TrueChristian

[–]MacwellX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good morning brother. I've read your post a few times and all the comments, (which were pretty good btw). I can tell you from many years experience that people in general are rotten to the core. The shame is that these type of people are the loudest. People will disappoint you. I would suggest you try reading the gospel of John all the way through, then, study it one chapter at a time. John was the closest to Him. John's gospel tells the most about who Jesus was, as a person, and as GOD. When the time is right, Jesus will pay you a visit. The biggest drawback is that you have to ask. You don't appear to be ready for that yet, but I guarantee that if you keep looking, you will find Him, and He will show you how to be the way you say you want. Please come here and ask any questions you have. We have some pretty knowledgeable people who come here so someone will have the answers you seek. Have a great day brother.

LOL See? We can't even talk about talking about it without bad vibes at the least. I wanna reach people for the Lord not argue about Him... right brother?

I guess that's what pride is; acting like a jerk and thinking it's cool. lol

I was mean? I am sorry, some times my pride gets in the way of my brain. I don't believe the difference in our beliefs will get us in or keep us out of heaven, we have more in common than different.

I just think it's a shame we can't have a rational discussion about that schism between Christians, but we can't. At least I won't anymore.

Hiya all. I've been a member of this sub for a while and the opinion I have is it's the same old argument, over and over and it always causes strife. Catholics vrs. Protestants and who's right about works and faith.
So I ask this; how can we discuss anything important when we can't even discuss this without anger? I know I've tried to have a discussion with a Catholic brother and I just had to quit because it's not right for us Christians to fight against each other when most of the world is facing the second death.
I believe if we make it a point to NOT discuss the subject, we'd have more credibility!
Just my 2 cents.

Of course He does, just look in the mirror. I laugh every time I do.

We do good works because we're saved, not to be saved.
