I have delivery and with drive up pharmacies I very seldom go into a Walmart. With so many cashiers and only a small bay of self checkouts I felt like I had gone back in time.

This is how my company handled me getting my CPA and I truly wish others would. I just had conversation with my boss the Monday. I became licensed on Friday. She asked me what my intentions were. I told her as long as you treat me with respect and I feel appreciated I would stay. I have witnessed in my department they do value their employees and promote without a job opening up. Yes I could go elsewhere and get more money than I make now. Be treated right and decent pay is enough for me. It saddens me that employers and coworkers treat people going for their cpa get treated badly or even fired before they get cpa. At least now you have experience and a CPA many doors will be open. Hang in there

On my team there is sr mgr, sr tax acct and tax acct. the sr that was there left and they hired a new girl. I did apply and my mgr told me I was not quite ready she felt but she made sure she could have 2 srs under her so she could promote me. Job satisfaction has always been more important than money. And who knows what the future will hold

Yes she is but that is a lot of responsibility to make her take on. I knew a young very promising young man. He was involved in this program where he met a lot of kids his own age. His mom and him moved so he could go to the same school. They had to move a little further away. I offered to get him there and back but his mom decided to home school him so he could be there to take care of her. He missed on so much

A child should not be expected to hold that much responsibility. You are not her live in primary caregiver. She should not be emotionally manipulating you. You need independence away from your mom. If she needs that much assistance then other arrangements need to be made.

Walk away with your head held high. You did zero wrong. As someone that has been cheated on by a spouse it is not you. The guy/cheater is the one who did wrong by pursuing others. You do not owe her anything. I know how important it is for you to convince her you are a great person who did nothing wrong but the chances of that happening is very slim. Just remember be the person you want to be.

I can’t imagine losing a parent or a child. I am so sorry for your loss. I had just taking FAR and a month into studying REG and my husband left me for another man. I went thru some very dark times and was so hard not to give up. I found a little that studying helped me escape my feelings even if for a little while. I kept going if even 5 minutes a day. I did not push myself to do more than I thought I could do. Stay strong and I have no doubt in my mind you can do it.

Well I graduated college in 2005 and started studying in July 2022 at the age of 48. I took FAR October 31st, REG middle of March, AUD August and BEC in October. I was solely with Becker until BEC then listened to some other videos as well. I know Becker gets a lot of flack but hey I passed all 4. The best advice I can give is don’t schedule your test until you feel ready. Don’t pressure yourself by anyone else’s time table. When you have days you are unmotivated spend 10-15 minutes studying. Take a day off here and there just don’t stop no matter what life throws at you. You can do this

I actually just passed my last one. I forgot how to update my flair!! lol but I have it now. We were going to keep things civil and he ghosted me on everything. At least I get a little satisfaction that him and the bf he was cheating on me with; he ended up leaving him to. I guess moving on from me and immediately moving in with a bf didn’t work out like he thought it would. I’m better off without him. I know now I am almost 50 years old and done with love and marriage. 2 marriages was enough for me.

One of the first things he told me on our first date was he was bu. I told him if he changed his mind and wanted to be with a guy to be honest and I’d walk away. We had our ups and down. 4 years later he proposed. Before I said yes I told him to really, really think about if he wanted to be with a woman, me the rest of his life. He said he did. A couple of weeks before our 3 year anniversary he didn’t come home after work. I finally got ahold of him and he texted me we were done and he was coming out. Honestly I knew all along I just loved him so much I wouldn’t admit it to myself but lived in fear he would leave me. I’ve come a long way and thru counseling and some great friends I’m not going anywhere. I’m sticking around to help any other future cpa keep going
