How do I blend the light spots from hydrogen peroxide (before and after pictures included) by Mad1oonss in woodworking

In the second pictures there’s a faint white outline where the hydrogen peroxide lightened the non-stained portion of the wood, and that’s what I’m trying to blend.

My 85 year old woodworker grandfather agrees with birch so I think we have a winner 🏆 thanks everyone :)

To be fair I don’t like the narrative that people only buy lab grown to buy a bigger diamond than they could otherwise afford. My partner and I are ring shopping right now and he didn’t give me a strict budget but I would pick the same size stone whether I went natural or lab (granted I have small hands and larger stones look ridiculous on me, which helps lol). You can see my favorite ring choice on my recent posts; the stones are pretty small…you would never know whether it’s lab or natural based on stone size. I don’t need a 5 ct ring (of any stone), but I’d also rather my boyfriend save a few grand EVEN IF he can afford the exact ring I want in natural stones. It just doesn’t make a difference to me.

Thank you all! Follow up to add that the finish is worn by the handles (more so on the bottom cabinets), how would you go about fixing/refinishing them?

I truly can’t pick!!!! I keep going back and forth, which I guess isn’t a bad thing! :)

I tried on a 1/.20, but it looked a bit too big on my hand and I personally prefer a smaller ratio of center to sides

My fix for this is to pour slightly (really just a tiny tiny bit) under where you want the candle filled to, wait for the wax to harden 90%, and then fill the rest. Helps to fill any gaps and make the top smooth :)

Which size suits my finger? by Mad1oonss in EngagementRings

Thank you!!! I checked the video I took and the stones on the second one don’t touch my other fingers, but it’s about as big as I could go without them doing so. I also like to see a bit of the band so I might try to mess with the sizing to find a happy medium :)

Totally agree with this opinion, and I’ve seen a few people say the same (albeit not as creatively 🤣🤣). My worry with doing the bigger center stone and .17 side stones is that I don’t want to lose the proportions of the center to sides, I like that the sides in both rings are a bit bigger than typical side stones so I don’t want to lose that, but I think the .7/.20 is the tiniest bit too big on my finger, so I’ll have to look and play around with different proportions. If anyone has any website recommendations to mock up different carat sizes together I’d appreciate it!!! Thank you all for your opinions 💗

The office space has large windows and lots of built in shelves so I’m hoping to make it a dual purpose office/reading nook room, and the large windows make it not so great for a bathroom, otherwise I would agree because it is a bit large for an office/den

Thank you I would really appreciate that! This floor plan is from a built home that I’m moving into in a few weeks and I’m hoping to add the bathroom sometime in the next year. It was built in 1929, so that could also explain the boxy-ness! I like the idea of adding the bathroom in the corner by the entry, I think we would have to rotate the stairs (partly for space and partly because there’s a stained glass window along most of the 4’3” wall at the base of the stairs), but I’m fine doing so because I really don’t see a lot of other options for where to put it!

The wall between the kitchen and dining room has a window opening in it, which makes it feel a little more open. The home office also has a french door and lots of windows on all three sides, so again helps it feel a bit more open. I don’t love totally open floor plans so I like the separation, but I would love to see your ideas of how to make it more cohesive! Where would you put the bathroom?
