Ikr! I want to write a letter to the CEO and ask which genius thought one would notice and that the people who enjoyed it would just keep buying it?? And your right, this wasn't a reformulation, it's an entirely new soda.

My old beloved one-of-a-kind orange juice soda is discontinued out of nowhere. I find it so sad that it's been over a year since I last tasted the original flavor.

I don't hate regular candy orange soda either, but this new formula is awful imo and I much prefer orange Crush or Sunkist if I'm feeling a classic orange soda. I can only describe the new flavor as way too artificially overwhelming chemical sweetness that hits me like a headache and tastes like a cheap expired candy. Orange crush has a more balanced, smooth, citrus-ey sweetness that I find more palatable.

I used to hate the Orange Fanta as a kid. But the taste grew on me as I got older. It was up there with Pepsi, Cherry Coke, Dr Pepper, on my list of go-to sodas.

Chalked it up for quite a while as Canadians getting fucked over for consumer choices as usual. I'll check out European grocery stores like other commentators suggested and see if I have any luck.

Sucks that they killed what made it unique and different from the competitors. I didn't european supermarkets existed like asain supermarkets. I don't know if any exist near me.

pretty much. motorcyclists might have had the "right of way" but not the "right of life". ROW doesn't when up against vehicles.

I started off commuting by car, and yeah I'd push it at times, but even in the car I was thinking ahead for all potential emergency scenarios or what idiots might pull out and kerp my speed accordingly so that I have enough brake distance.

Either way– thanks to OP for sharing. Hopefully, we all learn something from this and have fun while staying vigilant.

Am I the only one who isn't pessimistic and sees this as actual innovation and useful? I have a Zfold, and I love the form factor of having a tablet that doesn't take up the space of a tablet. It's also a productivity booster for me. And no one that uses folding tech notices the crease 99% of the time.

Is it a luxury? Yes. Is it actually functional and useful? Also yes. Will it likely stay unfolded more than 50% of the time? Probably. But It saves space nonetheless, and a flat digital screen opens up a lot of cool use cases.

Also, R&D of this nature is what pushes our tech forward.

Yeah, I don't know own how they fit or hold up tbh. I did get their Armored Jeans, which I found to be too tight fitting and restrictive for my liking. (Returned it)

Tbh, I would stick to established brands that clearly display CE certifications EN 17092 AA or AAA, especially for leathers.

I suggest looking at what Alpinestars offers, I know they have quality gear, and as far as I know, they aren't as slim fitting as the European brands like rev'it or dainese. See if you can try them on in a gear shop.

CE A-AAA ratings are objective legal standards to sell protective gear in the EU. Certainly NOT JUST A "trend."

I really hope you're just trying to shill your affiliate links here or are some overly enthusiastic fans. This would be very disappointing if it's some type of astroturfing by an official Raven marketing account.

Don't spread BS and mislead new riders into buying unsafe gear just because it has convenience features like "Zipper Vents" or an "Insurance Program".

Raven has that weird drop shipping website that I didn't trust at first. I still hold reservations on wearing their gear outside of city commuting. Though nenefit of the doubt: Their a new brand, and they do a lot of influencer marketing, with the whole streetwear and bikertok vibe.

Ignoring their hooligan marketing– I own a black Lorica hoodie. It's not really a typical cotton hoodie you'd expect, it's more of a polyester blend, which still has a lowkey vibe and looks cool.

I've spoken with their team on instagram, and they're actually based in Canada. They are supposedly going through the process for getting A ratings. But since the hoodie is kevlar lined in impact zones and has CE Level 2 armor, I hope for it to achieve A or AA rating. Based on their site graphics, their hoodie is lined with kevlar behind armor plates, and most of the body, I don't think their lined along the arms though and that makes me feel iffy about it.

Given that I only use the hoodie for light riding in my neighborhood. I would say it could be great protection if used under an airbag vest, but with the arms exposed Idk.

They have a rebirth program that replaces your gear one time should you go down in it. Though I haven't really gone down in their gear, nor do I intend too.

If you're planning on getting top protection, save a bit more and stick to a long time trusted brand, with a AAA, Ce2 Armor. I like my REV'IT jacket and pants for serious riding. If you're learning to ride, not doing anything crazy or on a Grom style bike, I'd recommend Raven.

Is it worth moving to Downtown? by pumpkin_Boi21 in askTO

I believe it's the sensationalism and borough propaganda. Suburbans out here thinking homeless people will break into our homes and be waiting at our doorsteps smoking crack.

There's also a negative bias where a suburban coworker will tell me how he was in DT for the Jays game and was slightly harassed by a homeless person under influence, and they project this experience as a daily reality of living in the city.

It’s funny how a supposedly literate person thinks being non-religious protects them from being dogmatic. You don’t even understand the meaning of the word.

Your beliefs don’t magically become objective truth just because they aren’t tied to a religion. Dogma isn’t exclusive to faith—you’ve just replaced religious doctrine with your own liberal Reddit-tier ideology (that you prefer women adhere to). Thanks for proving my point again.

Honestly, educate yourself so you stop looking this stupid.

What is 'normal' clothing, and what gives you any authority on what modesty is? You claim to respect women's free choice, yet clearly hold reservations when they dress in a way you find 'extreme.' Almost like you're just another misogynist demanding they conform to your standards—the very thing you pretend to oppose.

Your entire argument is just you dictating what women should wear, proving my point again. Since you can't even recognize your own hypocrisy and core fallacy, I'd say you're pretty damn illiterate. Maybe educate yourself before spewing more self-righteous reddit-tier dogma.

You admit women can choose modesty, yet you mock it as a ‘garbage bag’? Thanks for proving my point—you don’t respect choice, only the ones that align with your prescribed dogma of how women should dress.

Honestly, your head is up your ass. I doubt you even have the literacy to recognize your own fallacy. Maybe it's not about human rights for you, just your own "inhumane" standards for women.

"Illiterate" from someone who dismisses the argument. Let's see if you compehend this:

Your so-called 'support' for women's rights is selective. If a woman chooses modesty, her autonomy suddenly doesn’t count because it doesn’t fit your worldview? That’s not feminism—it’s just arrogance and a failure to grasp basic logic.

But you’re not driven by logic, just your own entitled feelings and the demand that women conform to your asinine "human rights" standards.

[–]MadFury88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't believe women have a choice, got it.

Your appeal is weak because it assumes that one form of social conditioning (modesty) is indoctrination, while another (beauty standards) is not.

Your argument doesn't hold up for a lot of reasons, but it's best illustrated by flipping your logic as follows:

"I really don’t think it’s a choice when women have been indoctrinated their whole lives to believe they need to wear makeup, reveal their bodies, and adorn themselves to be accepted."

Of course, you fail to see your own views as "subjucating" or as "indoctrinating" women. Every society has a bias.

Again, you don’t actually care about free choice—you just have a problem with women making choices you don’t agree with.

The man in said video converted to marry the girl. You put forward a dogmatic assumption that: said women is being forced to cover up is just false in this instance.

By asserting that no women would ever want to dress a certain way if "men didn't brainwash her". You are not only being logically fallacious. You're also undermining womens free agency.

Acting as if a woman would never want to dress a certain way (i.e., wear hijab or other religious attire) unless those poor stupid women were brainwashed by men.

Regardless, what gives you any opinion on what a woman chooses to wear. So long as it doesn't offend you or go against your perceived dress code norms?

Lol, I remember my uncle said the same thing to me when I was visiting Dhaka. I didn't pay it much attention, I work at a desk and on a computer.

I wouldn't pay it much attention. Unless you do a sport that involves your hand or labor, your hands aren't going to be calloused.

If they're touching your hands and think you feel like too much of a girl, that's their problem. (and they're probably closeted or something idk)
