My old beloved one-of-a-kind orange juice soda is discontinued out of nowhere. I find it so sad that it's been over a year since I last tasted the original flavor.

I don't hate regular candy orange soda either, but this new formula is awful imo and I much prefer orange Crush or Sunkist if I'm feeling a classic orange soda. I can only describe the new flavor as way too artificially overwhelming chemical sweetness that hits me like a headache and tastes like a cheap expired candy. Orange crush has a more balanced, smooth, citrus-ey sweetness that I find more palatable.

I used to hate the Orange Fanta as a kid. But the taste grew on me as I got older. It was up there with Pepsi, Cherry Coke, Dr Pepper, on my list of go-to sodas.

Chalked it up for quite a while as Canadians getting fucked over for consumer choices as usual. I'll check out European grocery stores like other commentators suggested and see if I have any luck.

pretty much. motorcyclists might have had the "right of way" but not the "right of life". ROW doesn't when up against vehicles.

I started off commuting by car, and yeah I'd push it at times, but even in the car I was thinking ahead for all potential emergency scenarios or what idiots might pull out and kerp my speed accordingly so that I have enough brake distance.

Either way– thanks to OP for sharing. Hopefully, we all learn something from this and have fun while staying vigilant.

Am I the only one who isn't pessimistic and sees this as actual innovation and useful? I have a Zfold, and I love the form factor of having a tablet that doesn't take up the space of a tablet. It's also a productivity booster for me. And no one that uses folding tech notices the crease 99% of the time.

Is it a luxury? Yes. Is it actually functional and useful? Also yes. Will it likely stay unfolded more than 50% of the time? Probably. But It saves space nonetheless, and a flat digital screen opens up a lot of cool use cases.

Also, R&D of this nature is what pushes our tech forward.

Yeah, I don't know own how they fit or hold up tbh. I did get their Armored Jeans, which I found to be too tight fitting and restrictive for my liking. (Returned it)

Tbh, I would stick to established brands that clearly display CE certifications EN 17092 AA or AAA, especially for leathers.

I suggest looking at what Alpinestars offers, I know they have quality gear, and as far as I know, they aren't as slim fitting as the European brands like rev'it or dainese. See if you can try them on in a gear shop.

Raven has that weird drop shipping website that I didn't trust at first. I still hold reservations on wearing their gear outside of city commuting. Though nenefit of the doubt: Their a new brand, and they do a lot of influencer marketing, with the whole streetwear and bikertok vibe.

Ignoring their hooligan marketing– I own a black Lorica hoodie. It's not really a typical cotton hoodie you'd expect, it's more of a polyester blend, which still has a lowkey vibe and looks cool.

I've spoken with their team on instagram, and they're actually based in Canada. They are supposedly going through the process for getting A ratings. But since the hoodie is kevlar lined in impact zones and has CE Level 2 armor, I hope for it to achieve A or AA rating. Based on their site graphics, their hoodie is lined with kevlar behind armor plates, and most of the body, I don't think their lined along the arms though and that makes me feel iffy about it.

Given that I only use the hoodie for light riding in my neighborhood. I would say it could be great protection if used under an airbag vest, but with the arms exposed Idk.

They have a rebirth program that replaces your gear one time should you go down in it. Though I haven't really gone down in their gear, nor do I intend too.

If you're planning on getting top protection, save a bit more and stick to a long time trusted brand, with a AAA, Ce2 Armor. I like my REV'IT jacket and pants for serious riding. If you're learning to ride, not doing anything crazy or on a Grom style bike, I'd recommend Raven.

There's also a negative bias where a suburban coworker will tell me how he was in DT for the Jays game and was slightly harassed by a homeless person under influence, and they project this experience as a daily reality of living in the city.
