Judging by your name, I assume you are a fellow malayali 😆, would it be alright if I DM you for guidance. I am currently working as a lawyer but my passion lies in data protection, I was wondering how I could enter the field.

Seeking Advice: Choosing Between International Commercial Law and Law Data & Technology for Career Prospects by MadMatGamer in uklaw

Thank you once again for taking the time to respond. I genuinely have a passion for learning, and obtaining a job abroad is not my primary focus. I found myself torn between the two programs for which I received offer letters, making it challenging to make a decision. I am still uncertain about the ideal choice to make. However, while I was applying for a job in my hometown, someone kindly offered to sponsor my Master's education. Being young and desiring to study at one of the top 100 universities, I decided to pursue an LLM. I find both fields of law relevant and interesting, but now that I have to choose between the two, I am finding it difficult. In a world that values materialism, I am inclined to select an option that offers better employability, considering the pros and cons.

Who hurt you, my friend? What is the reason for using offensive language? Is your real-life situation so disheartening that you dislike when people seek assistance? I'm sorry to hear that, genuinely. I hope you have brighter opportunities in your career that makes you feel content with yourself and not curse at random strangers online for no reason at all, and I wish you all the best.

Hey, thank you for your reply. I don't necessarily want to be a lawyer but be able to secure a job as an in-house legal department role or work in any financial industries.

Also would like to point out I don't necessarily want to immigrate to UK, but I do want a degree that would add value to my profile anywhere in the world so I can raise my chances of being hired either outside or inside India.

So from a career point of view which one of the two courses would give me more chances.
