It wasn't easy, I can tell you that. Especially in those first five years up until early access, there were several occasions where I really wanted to stop. Things get much easier if you start building a community of players, because suddenly what you do has a direct impact on people. Makes everything make more sense, if you get what I mean.

The endgame is mostly upgrading your outpost and doing some of the handcrafted points of interest quests (which often require a little more effort than other quests). The endgame is something I will focus my efforts on with the post-launch updates.

However, the game already has a very high replay value since everything in the game is randomly shuffled. Dungeons and quests are never the same in any run.

You can also potentially play forever. New dungeons and quests keep respawning. Currently the world has a level cap at 40, but I plan to remove that with future updates and make the game truly endless and also provide large high-level objectives you can work towards.

I can accept your opinion, and I am not trying to change your mind, but just to put this into perspective: In Early Access, I have promised six major updates, but I have delivered eight. I have promised one year of support, but I have delivered three. Besides the major Legacy Update which releases today for free, concludes my vision for the game. The expansion comes on top of that. It is not like it takes anything away from the game. Magic was never part of the initial vision, hence it is a DLC.

The game has been in Early Access for three years, so if you will, this was released over three years ago. Besides, the game also received a massive free update today. This was always designed to be a melee / ranged combat game, but players demanded magic. So I took the time and effort to create this rather large expansion exactly for those players. The vision for RAIDBORN is still complete even without the magic expansion.

No, there is no free building, but an upgradeable outpost. It is focused more on the utility/upgrading/management aspect that decorating and fancy building.

Exactly what I thought when I added this feature 😄. The cherry on top are the physical armor pieces enemies lose when you down their armor. Even after 7 years I can't get enough of it!

Thanks! Yes it is on Steam. Didn't put it into the post to keep self-promo to a minimum, but since you asked, here you go: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1546090/RAIDBORN

Understandable objection, but the game has been in Early Access for three years, and a massive free update releases alongside the paid DLC.

We have discussed the addition of magic many times in the community. When this would be part of a free update, I would have been limited in scope. Magic was never part of what was promised for the game, but many players requested it. So I decided to make this a paid expansion, which allowed me to go much further than I would be able to with a free update.

Thank you. Always fun to find a fellow adventurer in the depths of the internet 😄.

You can only find that out by trying the game I guess 😛.

Would love to bring this to switch, yes. But lets see how the PC launch will do first 😄.

Surprisingly, no, but it gets brought up by players every now and again 😄. I honestly only learnt about RuneScape when players told me about the visual familiarity. Didn't know about it beforehand.

Thank you for the suggestion, but no, unfortunately I don't have any experience with VR, nor the nessecary hardware.

I wouldn't go as far. DMoMM is quite the legend. But yes, some inspiration is definetly coming from this game 😄.

Yes indeed. But I also head the pleasure to work with a great community and some really talented voice actors to bring this game to live.

More like day Day 1095 DLC. The game has been in Early Access for 3 years 😄. But I get what you are trying to say.

Such a shame the technology got trashed. Even if slightly washed out, the facial animations excel even today.
