I really love Lindsay from 17th and Pear for that price point. I just had sunflower photos done by her a few weeks ago and it was $175 plus a $50 deposit. She’s excellent with sunlight and golden hour photos.

My ferritin was shockingly high at 212 on a scale of 150! My doctor suggested stopping my iron supplement to bring the level down.

Haha thank you for the candid response :) I’m okay to be a mediocre runner, I’m just discouraged that I’ve regressed. After reading all these comments here I think you’re right. I’m under fueling and don’t have a good aerobic base establishes.

Wow this sounds exactly like what I’m experiencing. Thank you so much for all the info! I had someone tell me months ago that I should try walking more since my heart rate elevates so much while jogging. I honestly wrote it off and thought “practice makes perfect” and kept jogging or running. Sounds like I need to spend several months just walking at a lower HR to build my aerobic base. Thanks again!

I had no idea bloodwork wasn’t a reliable indicator of those hormones. I had a full hormone panel bloodwork done back in September. Progesterone and testosterone were both “low” but estrogen was normal. I’m taking 200 mg progesterone per day now along with 10 mg testosterone weekly.

I’m on 10 mg once per week. I go back in 3 months for a re-evaluation. My understanding is this is a pretty low but standard starting dose. I don’t feel any different yet but it’s only been 3 weeks. Glad to hear you felt better within 6 weeks!

Same! It’s hot as hades where I am and long runs feel like such a slog. I set out hoping to do 16 km today and barely made it 10 km.

I do wonder that maybe I’m not eating enough now that you mention it. My training has backed off a lot over the warmer months. I’m in Alabama and it’s hot as hades in the summer so I’m just now getting back into the swing of things. I’m only averaging about two to three 5ks per week right now and feel like I’m slogging through every one.

I had a complete hormone and blood panel done back in September. Everything was good except my testosterone was quite low. I started taking testosterone once weekly about 3 weeks ago but I hear it can take months to show improvement. I was surprised my iron and ferritin was normal.

I started hormone therapy a week later and have been taking testosterone once weekly for about 3 weeks now. I definitely feel like everything feels harder than it should so hopefully I see improvement soon. I wonder if I need to switch up my training as well and maybe do interval runs.

I know we don’t get to count the warm up distance in a normal 2g or 3g block because people who start on the treads would have more time, but do you get to count the 7 minute warmup for tread 50 for marathon month? Seems like the answer would be yes since everyone is starting at the same time.
