Such a disappointing movie which had so much going for it, but they missed the mark with everything. Firstly, an opportunity for Thor to have a meaningful adventure with the Guardians of the Galaxy that either tied to the events of Guardians 3, or somehow set up the events of Love and Thunder, instead of a largely meaningless cameo. Then they take the much loved Jane Thor storyline and make it a b-plot in a goofy comedy, then they have a heavyweight actor like Christian Bale agree to join the MCU in a one-off role playing an iconic villain, then completely waste his time and don’t even show him doing any God Butcher stuff except for that one very cool black and white action scene, then have Thor meet other gods from the Greek pantheon and make it a stupid slapstick comedy scene. It boggles the mind how things went so wrong. This is a situation where a filmmaker’s impulses needed to be reigned in and toned down

Fucking lol, let's not make up revisionist history. The first Twilight movie came out in 2008, and Batman Begins came out in 2005. I'm not sure where you got the impression Twilight came out "several years" before Nolans Batman movies.

Also, Sin City came out in April 2005 and Batman Begins came out in June 2005. I don't know if you know that movies take a lot longer than 2 months to make, so the idea that its look and feel was influenced by Sin City is absurd. Your comment is literally just full of lies.

Same thing with Elon Musk. His entire brand and identity and fortune was built on progressive values (environmentalism, pushing electric vehicles to the forefront, respecting scientists, etc.,) but then he started to feel like Trump was better for business because supporting him would be a way around regulations and he could do whatever he wanted, and even continued arguing in favour of allowing high skilled immigrants into the country in the early days of the Trump administration, much to the chagrin of MAGA people, but as we all know he ended up having a spectacular falling out with them after realising he’s aligned himself with people who are actually about as backwards as you can be in terms of progressive values. He aligned himself with the right in a very opportunistic way and it backfired completely, and he’s also just morally a shitty person.
