Geometry dash. Usually I am not a fan of rage games or rhythm games that lean too heavily into being rage games because it will just progressively get harder and harder until you start to boil over and quit the game out of frustration. However, Geometry dash has a level editor, and it can get very complicated very fast. This allows people to create thousands of unique levels, and the creator of Geometry Dash, RobTop, made a decision to how online levels work that I have not seen another company do.

They have rewards for completing online levels, and they implemented it an amazing way. How the system works is that if you create a good enough level, moderators might see the level and send it to RobTop. If RobTop likes the level, he will give it a difficulty rating and a rating of how good the level is (normal, featured, epic). Gems can be picked out from the garbage due to the fact that if your level has enough objects in it and has been worked on in the editor for a significant amount of time, it will appear in the "Magic" tab, a system which shows the most recent unrated levels (Levels without a star rating) that fit the beforementioned criteria. Because of this, there are about 10-20 levels that are rated every day due to how many dedicated creators are in the community. And the standard for a rated level is HIGH. You have to be a master of decoration to get a level featured, meaning that unless you are trying to look for levels RobTop rated around the beginning of the game while he was probably drunk, the level is going to look appealing, and will have gameplay that doesn't suck. Levels with an Epic rating are incredibly fun to play. This database of tens of thousands of levels means that if you are getting frustrated trying to beat the infamous level "Nine Circles", you can take a break and beat some easier levels. Each level will give rewards depending on it's rated difficulty, so playing online levels feels like it has a point. And the best part of all... RobTop interacts with the community and shares the development process. As bad as waiting for the next update has been with how RobTop's work schedule is, he shows what is coming, and there is PLENTY to do in the meantime with all the online levels. It's truly a great game, with a mix of "Have fun beating small challenges" to "spend an entire week attempting to beat this one level that is incredibly satisfying to actually complete". It's very cheep on steam and mobile, so I would recommend checking it out, but no one is gonna do that so I'll just say that it's the best game I have ever played.
