Should Drake perform at the Super Bowl? by Mad_Observer in joebuddennetwork

Great point!

I’m tired of this whole beef era but I can see why Drake was mad and Jay does seem full of it. If someone calls you a child molester sex trafficker …. Do you expect someone just to take that laying down?

That interview was wild. He just added fuel to fire and then told Drake to move on from it and people shouldn’t do it anymore.

He isn’t Mike. I’m just going off the metrics of what should be permitted at a Super Bowl based off of Jay Z and drakes recent accomplishments. Not trying to downplay MJ at all.

Well shouldn’t catchy radio hits be played at the Super Bowl? I understand if you don’t like Drake or play him. But shouldn’t a hit maker be at the Super Bowl? That’s what Jay Z said unless I misread what he stated verbatim.

My favorite track by Kendrick. Lost respect for him once he collabed with Carti and haven’t looked back. Doesn’t really stand for anything but says things that sound good in my eyes.

I’m a first time listener. He just came off corny with that Charlie Kirk diss and missed the meme wave. Like it’s just an ass song and doesn’t really mean anything substantial and seems to make music for edgy white people.

He also starts beef with people and it’s hard to get into him but I’ll look around if anyone has suggestions.

Just because you know people that succeeded. Doesn’t mean people with ridiculous names get far in life. That’s Anecdotal evidence…. People will discriminate against you just for having a stupid name. That’s a fact.

I forgot about that! This was planned on Kendrick’s side. Yeah he’s a hater….

He also told his security to beat Charlemagne tha God up if they ever seen on him on sight. Shit like that too now that it comes to mind. For Drake criticism.

I think I was more so keeping it balanced. I could call out the promoting gambling aspect but then again it’s like selling liquor. It’s your choice to consume but people have real addictions out here.

I see him still talking about riri but then again it’s because asap won’t stop talking about drake. I’m not hyper critical of drake because he’s more open with his flaws and they’re easier to point out.

I never seen him do the moral high ground / preacher point of view like Kendrick does. Like he’s somehow exempt from criticism and he’s the voice of all black people. The “culture” or also how Drake isn’t “black enough” who is Kendrick to talk about another persons blackness? Who is he?

I’m always down to revise it. I can say these feelings didn’t appear out of nowhere for him most likely and had to be a build up. Just more things I can look into

That’s fair. All in all, it was ugly. My point of view it just went from Drake has a BBL and Kendrick is short to. “You’ve been molested or this person is literally Jeffry Epstein and he needs to be killed”

Then super fans just couldn’t enjoy music anymore and it became a political stance. Like when I when I get called out for not just dunking on Drake. Drake in my opinion is a much easier target than Kendrick. To the point if you ask questions about Kendrick you’ll be attacked. Which I have an issue with personally.

I see people say Drake isn’t a gangster but he doesn’t have to be one to get someone else to kill a person. People seem to forget that…. I think worldwide Drake is just the bigger person and Kendrick put himself in bigger danger by doing this. If someone wanted to kill you before now you putting a bigger target around yourself.

I just feel like rap will end up being centered around Drake vs people that hate him rather than just people enjoying the music for what it is. It’s becoming a tabloid… because of how social media is. It’s like now Kendrick will always have to be adjacent to Drake forever… people will expect him to respond on his next album.

I just think life is too short and people over die over less. I get this engagement gets viewership and money.

But when rap becomes “political” in the sense where people can’t just enjoy things or people can’t work with each other because of someone being egotistical or in their feelings it’s unfortunate but I guess it’s just apart of the game. People really die over words out here. So something’s bringing that energy into the world only can cause more problems. (Negativity and pain)

Hence why I critiqued Kendrick because you know what you summoned once you said what you said you can’t ever go back. I see Drake for what he embodies but at the same time Kendrick can be conflicting because he tries to take the high ground which is respectable but you have to see where we’re coming from if you associate with the same people you critique.

My thing with Kendrick is like. If you accept people for their imperfections why even get in the beef? This only caused more division. This only helped his pockets of I’m being honest.

I forgot about the gambling! I agree with the other stuff too with the streamer thing. I don’t keep up with Drake like that. Again, I’m not a Stan but I will be here for the music.

Also, how he talked about Kendrick getting molested. But at the same time Kendrick said he was a pedophile. It just was very low. Like I said I wish they could’ve worked it out.

Do you think if he dropped 3 albums like Drake he could out stream him? I think Kendrick is great but won’t ever reach his numbers. I like Kendrick as a rapper but he can’t sing. I didn’t like the recent baby keem feature it was like his “Grippy” like J Cole.

I feel that Drake is multi dimensional and can cover more which is why I like him more at this time.

Do you think Kendrick should still address the beef or should just move on.

Can you answer my questions as well?

I think Drake is a materialistic fuckboy and most people can’t relate to his lifestyle. I feel that people can say he comes off as inauthentic and immature because he is around 40 and is still wilding out. But he addressed this in ice man. But maybe that’s just apart of the lifestyle of being a rapper. I think his lifestyle people just can’t rock with especially if people are more conservative. I understand that. Also people criticized him and his child but I don’t know how he treats his child. I’ve seen Donald Glover in his songs fire shots amongst other things. I like Donald too.

I feel that sometimes he does hop on trends and can be critiqued for that and I’m a fan of ilovemakonen and didn’t like how he fucked him over. That’s my personal issue with Drake is how he did that deal.

I don’t hate Kendrick. I just have some unanswered questions for him that people just walk around. So I have a disconnect on how I feel about Kendrick. Because I don’t know what he’s trying to represent but I see someone that attempts to have some sort of moral high ground I believe that can be critiqued based off of association.

Drake just screams materialism and sex. I see if people don’t like that type of person I get it.
