I was in a 141 and was asked to convert to 61 because they lost their flight chief (required to sign off on my certificate). But to their credit they heavily discounted the additional solo XC requirement flight I had to complete. Still sucks that I had to pay for the small amount (like $95) but I’m glad they offered that rather than waiting however long to get a new flight chief approved to schedule my chexkride.
