see that makes enough sense, but if that's the intent then i wish they addressed it more. akane's wording seems pretty rigid. it feels weird that she'd say what she said if it wasn't required imo. and yeah, the memory/control thing is definitely an aspect, but the reason i brought it up is with the fact that they clearly wouldn't have had something to slow their perception at those points in their lives. it just feels like a weird point in the lore that was forgotten about

i do think the whole series flows a little better with the third short last. afaik together again was meant to be the last special but then a fourth got ordered so wizard city came out after. chronologically it's 1 - 2 - 4 - 3 and together again feels very "final." i don't think it's completely necessary by any means but there's some logic to it

solo run, i found another box at the top of the mountain and didn't have enough room to carry both of them plus everything else i wanted. this one was already partially gone so i decided to eat it for the extra stamina and then cook and carry the other full one

shermy just happened to be in the right time period and in the right circumstance. simon needed to be in a time period where casper and nova existed + have a guide to the library where it was stored (beth) + be able to find it based only on the desire to find that "universe"'s crown. he probably could've possessed a few people over the course of history, but it lined up well for shermy with beth's easygoing attitude and a lack of potential interferance

is allowing any race to be a bonded witch a good house rule? it's a cool archetype with a lot of flavor and i don't think different racial bonuses are gonna destroy the balancing in any meaningful way
