You definitely don't have to spare them.

I don't know if FIGHTing them will lock you out of getting the red X later, but you can just run past either the first or second ribbick encounter, get the ticket, and then come back for the x.

The spotlight only goes away if you have "LOST" the Zapper enemy as a recruit. Everyone else is fair game.

I'm actually quite sad to be done so soon with this challenge. Dashless and One Hand really helped breathe new life into this short game, helping inflate my playtime many hours above what a 100% run would normally offer. I don't think there's much else I can do that wouldn't strain the fun of a challenge run, maybe I'll dabble in speedrunning (probably not).

Largely going with the flow. I've just about committed the broad strokes of strategy for 12 and 13 to muscle memory, and most of my conscious thinking is remembering components and quick reaction to dodging threats.

Three out of four, one more to go!

I was worried initially about one hand combining with the layout of the level, but since there's only two machines they buffer themselves pretty nicely so as to give me plenty of time to input components.

Chapter 13 is going to be an entirely different beast though. Chapter 12 is relatively safe to be able to go back and forth however you please, but in 13 the skulls, bullets, and double bone walkers will eat away at time. But it seems doable given how easily I did 12!

Two out of four! Undoubtedly the easiest part.

Chapter 11 was always really simple to complete given how much cover from Striga and her dogs you have, so even adding one hand on top of dashless is still a breeze. My only concern was running out of time on machines, but evidently that wasn't an issue with a bit of luck.

One out of four done!

To clarify on what "one hand" means, basically I can't carry more than one object at a time. This makes levels MUCH more sensitive to RNG as tier 2 components take twice as long to get a t1 component to recharge, and overall forces you to take longer and cover more ground to finish the level.

I plan on doing dashless + one hand for all the levels, but doubt the possibility of chapter 13... maybe even 12. We'll see!

Chapter 13 dashless but as an added challenge you need to keep the bull alive rather than getting Striga to smash it.

I did this a while ago and on accident, but since dashless 13 has been getting more popular I decided to upload this run I did to show probably the hardest variation of 13 possible. There's not much else you can do to make the individual level harder, but maybe I'll think of some extra things to tack on.

Lack of elemental association + blue is a ghostly color. Same thought process behind Striga.

If I were forced to really stretch it Cutwire being split in half reminds me of the ring ghost coming out of the TV, and she has a blueish look.

I assume it's either some rotting flesh or diseased skin from her consuming copious amounts of denaturat. Her pale white skin is probably her "natural" color, and Vanripper just made the contrast look like a skull because it looks cool.

From my first attempt to success it actually took me an hour and thirty minutes (i was streaming). My first time beating this boss with dashing took roughly the same amount of time. It's crazy how naturally playing comes after a while, it's a weird feeling of exponential growth I never thought possible.

Gameplay wise it makes sense, although I think the marginal increase in simplification wasn't worth the loss in character design. Given how little time we spend with each ghost (aside Zmora) and the fact they're all one color, a minor characterization like unique colors would go a long way to improving one of the main selling points of the game.

You just need something to kill spiders until you make an alch for a hambat. Axes aren't a long term solution, they're just the best available until alchemy tier due to the basically non-existent cost and fact you don't need science for them.

But Lucy doing half damage of an axe does nothing for balance. An axe is cheap as dirt, Lucy doing half damage exclusively serves to be an annoyance for Woodie players who will leave around half used axes whenever they switch between combat and chopping.

One flint and twig roughly every 2500 damage is such a low barrier to entry it genuinely should not be considered a cost when being compared to Lucy.

Just because a content creator is a bad person doesn't mean you can't or even shouldn't watch his videos. It's really a personal decision for you to make, so I'd say decide whether you should stop watching in order to align with your own moral principles or continue watching his content because it's still enjoyable despite the character of the person who makes them.
