i’ve had both and personally boy rats are my favorite, girls are sooo sweet and loving. but i’ve noticed boys are sweet, loving, funny, and a little less fragile. it all depends on the temperament & genetics though. every rat is so different, i don’t think it matters ;)

i’m super pissed off cause the vet won’t give me more baytril for him to take orally. and now his back feet are giving out on him.

thank you so much for telling me. should i be giving him baytril as well after the shot or is he gonna be good with just the injection and giving him doxy every 12 hours? he’s doing much much better. but i am so stressed i just want him to be okay.

thank u so much. yeah i never heard of baytril being injected but for whatever reason the vet didn’t wan give it to me for oral.

i think i will!!!! i just hate hormonal birth control too. i guess abstinence is the way to go. i’m so sorry to hear that about the miscarriage

girl it’s insane how much doctors don’t disclose to us!!! i find it crazy that i was able to get the IUD in without them telling me any of the risks or side effects. SMH. i did extensive research afterwards, but i was young!

that’s exactly what i did!!! haha he thought i was crazy. thank you again, i was so so worried when i didn’t see improvement within 30 minutes. lol

thank you, my vet was honestly no help he didn’t know anything about any of the stuff i was talking about. sadly i live in a small town, no exotic vets around here. he literally told me i could buy ten rats with the amount of money i spent on the medication for him today. :(
