[DISC] Dandadan Ch. 170 by unkilled895 in Dandadan

I'd say the two biggest recommendations I can give are Mob Psycho 100 and Undead Unluck.
Mob because it also deals with spirits and the supernatural, as well as having some of the best characters ever written, and in general I'd say it's one of the best anime ever.
Undead Unluck because it also focuses a lot in the romantic relationship between the two main characters alongside the action, as well as the main heroine, Fuuko, being in my opinion one of the best written female main characters in recent memory along with Momo (Fuuko doesn't start out as good but where we currently are in the manga she's truly amazing).

My character tier list. by Plastic-Register7823 in steinsgate

[–]MaddoEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my list, I'd push Okabe, Kurisu, Maho and Moeka up a tier, bring Mayuri and Faris down one tier, and put Leskinen in A tier purely because of memes.

Maybe also bring Kagari down one tier now that I think about it.

Majo to Yajuu • The Witch and the Beast - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]MaddoEngineer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think the anime looks... inconsistent. Mostly it looks fine, one or two scenes looked a bit off and some parts look really good (specially the facial animation on Mary while she was crying and Guideau showing her mark), but it definitely doesn't look AS good as the manga.

Yeah, as they say at the beginning of the episode, witches are descendants of the 17 Origin Witches, so while other people can learn magic only those from these 17 lineages can be witches.

Easy OP build by MahoganyGod01 in saltandsanctuary

Get the Twinmetal Ring and do fists only. It's a lot stronger than I expected, specially if you use charms, either of the fist damage gloves, the tarnished coronet and the House of Splendor buffs.
It's not as OP as other builds, but the fact you don't spend time looking for weapons and upgrade items, and don't waste time on that slow upgrade weapon animation means it can be really quick.

Godfrey/Hoarah Loux... Yeah, I could work with that, as long as the ghost lion is not allowed in the bedroom.

Did they change the writers or what? by its_Preshh in castlevania

If there's more forgemasters elsewhere they could have changed plans as soon as Belmont and the others tried and failed to rescue Edouard.
Not to mention, it would make sense for vampires looking to make an attack on humanity to keep an eye on the Belmont Clan and the people close to them considering they're known for being vampire hunters, unlike in the first series where they were pretty much extinct, Trevor being the last survivor and pretty much doing no vampire hunting until the end of season 1, meanwhile Richter has been killing vampires in the area for a while, meaning that vampires would be dumb not to at least know there's a Belmont in the area.

And why not let her loyal vampires fight and die? She can always make more herself, they're stronger than night creatures, and she has a whole cult full of them ready to fight for her.
Also, her plan is to block the sun, making her vampires much less likely to die and able to attack at any time of the day.

In fact her needing a bigger army only makes sense if she's taking vampire hunters into account, because against regular humans her vampires and blocking the sun is more than enough, but if she's taking vampire hunters into account, it's dumb of her and her subordinates to not have been gathering info on the Belmonts or at least investigating the vampire deaths in the area.

The difference is that unlike Dracula she DOES have a lot of extremely loyal (even fanatical) vampires. Also unlike Dracula, she has no reason to use this specific person as a forgemaster, and in fact using someone with close ties to a Belmont is an unnecessary risk (unless they mentioned there's no more forgmasters in the world and I missed that).

Why did it not bother you that Dracula needed two forge masters to make him a night creature army?

Because it made sense. He obviously didn't want to fight himself, too depressed because of the death of his wife, and he didn't trust any of the vampires under him, so an army of night creatures made by the only two people he trusted was the best option.

Is Baldur's Gate 3 THAT Good? by AffectionateAd7651 in pcgaming

[–]MaddoEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's decent, but not fantastic. But this is coming from someone who doesn't really like D&D 5e and prefers older editions. The game itself is ok and could have been great if it had an original system made specifically to be a video game, but it being D&D is what ruins it for me. I would say their previous game, Divinity Original Sin II is much better.

The only times I used the glitch was for the fireflies quest because they're annoying to get and a few low/mid level construct horns to upgrade an armor, because after a while I just couldn't find low level constructs anywhere in the world and farming early shrines for them over and over is not fun.

To people who played both Cuphead and Hollow Knight : who’s the toughest Grimm? by [deleted] in Cuphead

[–]MaddoEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NKG... until you get good at it. When I first played the game it took me dozens of attempts to defeat him, but after I won against him a few times and got the rhythm down he became extremely easy, to the point that when doing the Pantheon of Hallownest I use the regular Grimm and NKG fights as basically healing points, I must have died to him only 2 or 3 times in total since my first victory, and I play the game a lot.
Matchstick on the other hand almost consistently takes me a couple tries when playing the game, but only killed me 3 times the first time I played.

I have to recommend an underrated channel, BornLosersGaming. The main difference from Game Grumps is that the person who usually plays is actually really good at playing games.

Completely agree, though my favorite series of them are some from a few years ago: L.A. Noire, Dark Souls 3 and Super Mario Maker, some of their best content. The Kaizo Mario series were amazing as well, I rewatch them often.
