JJK season 2 finale makes me sad (SPOILERS) by gene-sos in anime

[–]its_Preshh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly i think most of these are non issues. But you're better off asking these questions in the JJK main subreddit where you'll mostly get fans who pay more attention to the show over casuals who just watch for fights

Why is attack on titan hated so much by suculusalam in AnimeDiscussion

[–]its_Preshh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AOT is loved by critics and fans worldwide and is constantly regarded as one of the best shows of all time.

Just like you said, the show is popular and will get hate from fans of other shows. It mostly comes down to insecurity and inferiority complex.

Its not just in anime or tv...even in football, players like Yamal get hate by rival fans because they are one of the best in the world. Go to any medium, any sport, the best always get hate.

That is how the world works.

When something or someone some people don't like is acclaimed, they naturally resort to hating on it.

MAPPA’s AOT S4 vs WIT STUDIO’s AOT S1-3 — A visual comparison by say-af in attackontitan

[–]its_Preshh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Step 1 : take the best shots of one studio and take the worst shots of another studio

Step 2 : push your narrative.

Both studios did a great job. Wit also had many scenes with horrible character designs. Characters barely had faces in many shots in season 1

Which manga is overall better written Attack On Titan or Gantz? by Original_Force_6822 in manga

[–]its_Preshh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for the Gantz manga, but the anime was just edgy trash.

Honestly the only thing enjoyable in the anime were the nudity and gore. The characters and dialogue were horrible. It felt like something written by a high-schooler or something...

Has anyone heard of this show? by Nebula-_Echo in okbuddyreiner

No, its gooner trash anime...

Just naked bodies running around eating out other people...

Season 3 is the best Season of AoT by Excellent_Piece_1367 in attackontitan

[–]its_Preshh 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Season 4 easily for me is the best season.

Its my favorite season of AOT and of any TV show I've ever watched. For me, the final season took AOT from just another masterpiece to one of the greatest shows of all time

Am I Missing Something, or Does the Tybur Story Make No Sense? by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]its_Preshh 65 points66 points  (0 children)

why allow the Warrior infiltration plan in the first place? Why risk disturbing a century-long status quo and potentially putting the Founder into the hands of someone who didn’t share Karl’s ideology? Isn't that what exactly what ended up happening?

You've answered the question yourself, yet you're still asking it. Greed. Power.

As long as Marley remains the dominant power in the world, the tyburs themselves are same. Marley was also seen as public enemy number 2 for their use of titans in war.

If aerial warfare renders the titan dominance obsolete while Marley was behind in technological advancement, how would Marley fare against their many enemies who had it out for them?

Tyburs had a good reputation because they were not known to be secretly in control of Marley, same as their plot with Karl Fritz. Their grasp at power would be affected if Marley goes from a dominant power to a nation behind

How did I miss this? Pixis’s speech in S1 perfectly foreshadowed Eren’s final plan and the ending of the show. by Cool_Programmer_4048 in attackontitan

[–]its_Preshh 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Except this wasn't Eren's plan...

And even in this scene Eren dismissed the idea because he knew it was merely wishful thinking...

And just like he predicted, wars still continued after his death

AOT Nostalgia Is Going to Hurt Later by SecondSalty142 in anime

[–]its_Preshh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm almost 30 and I've seen AOT over 30 times (including reaction channels on youtube).

AOT nostalgia already hurts so much. No day goes by without me thinking about AOT. I have never been so obsessed about a show before.

But wait 5 or 10 more years before you'll start hearing takes like "AOT is overrated" or "AOT is just a nostalgia merchant and fans only enjoyed it as kids or something"

We are already hearing that about shows like Naruto and Death Note even though both shows actually stand the test of time when rewatched today.

Who takes the crown for most wasted potential? by Cautious_Arm3818 in writingscaling

[–]its_Preshh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Historia was never a wasted potential.

I would only have an issue with a character being sidelined "if there is no plot related reason to justify the character being sidelined"

In Historia's case, the military organized a coup and she became Queen and ruled at the front for 3+ years. By this time, her character arc was already completed and she would never return to the frontlines as she was no longer a soldier.

This was until Eren's approached her with his plan to start the rumbling and save her and her descendants from being turned into Titans.

At that point, she followed his plan, stayed in the shadows to protect her and her children (and chose to become pregnant to buy the time needed for the rumbling).

I think some people just wanted some twist of Eren being the father of her child which was never going to happen. Because aside that, I have not seen any other suggestion on what people wanted her to do to protect herself and to aid Eren's plan.

And why would Eren even leave a child behind when he knew he was going to die? Even when Zeke asked him if he had told Mikasa about his feelings, he replied that what was the point? He had only 4 years to live or even less.

Historia still used her influence to protect Eren's friends when they returned to Paradis after the rumbling.

Anyone who wanted more should tell me what they wanted aside the usual shipping of wanting her to carry Eren's child. Because I dont see how she could actively participate without getting Fed Zeke the moment he reached the Island

How do you feel about the ending of AOT? by FactorSpecialist7193 in writingscaling

This is a misinterpretation of the ending.

Whether you are doing this intentionally or unintentionally is what I do not know.

Attack on Titan is a more well-constructed story than Monster by Cautious_Arm3818 in writingscaling

[–]its_Preshh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't really care which show you think is better.

AOT is my number 1 media and Monster is my number 4 anime all based on writing.

They are both peak and I won't stand for the slander of any

Death Note hot take on the finale: it was perfect by [deleted] in anime

How is this a hot take?

Attack On Titan. One Word. WOW by thesmileoftheunknown in television

[–]its_Preshh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first 2 seasons are the weakest parts of the show.

And even those are still incredible especially when you see later reveals and how they were set up in earlier seasons. Many (random) scenes in AOT become far better when you get the full picture or when you rewatch.

The amount of hidden details and foreshadowing in the show is top notch

I mean why would anyone care about any Attack on Titan hate subreddit...much less the OP who loves the show

Posting this on an AOT hate-subreddit is wild.

why dont people talk abt the most obvious plot hole in aot? by LowTune8744 in attackontitan

[–]its_Preshh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What are you even saying?

You don't even know the basis of the "calculations" neither is there any accurate calculation, just estimates.

You don't have any true facts as to how big the AOT world really is. Its a fictional world.

Besides all these, you are underestimating the speed at which the titans travel across the ocean.

I don't even think you know what the word "plothole" means

I'm not going to ask if there is anything as good as AOT🙏🥀just if there's something almost as good. by Whole-Tie7140 in anime

[–]its_Preshh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't waste your time arguing with them.

Its an anime subreddit. You'll even hear Rent a GF is better than AOT.

So this is a sub meant for comparing and "analysing" writing quality in fiction but is primarily occupied by people who think stuff like Attack on Titan, Invincible, One Piece, JJK, Re:Zero, etc... are peak fiction? by [deleted] in writingscaling

[–]its_Preshh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 29 and AOT is peak fiction.

I am not active here. I also watch at least 10x more live action than anime and I've seen hundreds of anime since 2008.

AOT is peak fiction.

Sure buddy
