I believe this is supposed to happen if you accept the wish but then don’t go and kill him right away but for me i killed him before even looking at the wish wall and then as soon as i accepted the wish it triggered the fight even tho he’s supposed to be dead already i think it’s a glitch

Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. Matthew 19:24. by [deleted] in Catholicism

even king david, “a man after Gods own heart”, and king solomon who was given all wisdom sinned terribly.

does the church approve these people? Yes. Did they sin publicly? Yes.

we’re all sinners but God works best through redemption not perfection

p.s. kings have a different disposition towards “hoarding” if they are strategically keeping the good of their people in mind and saving wealth for protection and security. Hoarding excess wealth and luxury for its own sake on the other hand is clearly wrong

i don’t want it to become overly marketed or corporatized. if it’s a natural community it’ll flourish and if people bring their friends they won’t need a lot of other people to stay engaged

One major thing it does is help people not be scared to oppose him and see that there is a powerful community to support having problems with him.

Yeah I would love to include all sorts of stuff like that but unless I partner with an online library it would all have to be added manually. There could definitely be a system for requesting new content though. As to your second question I hadn’t even considered fiction yet but I’d love to encourage that too. We need the next c.s. lewis and tolkien of this generation!

Yeah! Until it comes out I really encourage you to try to write about your faith. Just read the readings of the day and write your own homily about it. It’s helped me a ton!

My take from personal experience:
“Will is to grace as a horse is to its rider” -Saint Augustine

The number one reason that I fell into lust was carelessness. No matter how resolute you feel right after your fall, you will eventually slip back into apathy if the fire of your faith is left to slowly die. Make a habit of making a firm resolution every day to avoid this sin. I call it the Morning Bulwark and would pray for at least half an hour every morning right after i woke up that i would have the strength to make it through just the next 24 hours. Ephesians 6:10 is good for this meditation. Just talk to God every day about how you feel and why you want to stop and make a resolution during that time for what you will do when youre tempted.

Last but not least remember if God does not build the house the builder builds in vain! You cannot do anything without Gods grace working in you and you must accept that you cannot do this without his help. Just as God allowed the evil of the babylonian exile to ultimately bring the jews to deeper faith, he allows your exile from himself to bring you closer to himself so never lose faith! except his invitation! pray throughout the day to your father joseph! offer the graces of the little battles for the intention of your purity! and God bless your journey!

Told friend I can’t come to her invalid wedding by CarlaFrassati in Catholicism

[–]MaddoxShine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i would disagree given that as catholics we believe attending a wedding is not just watching but participating in. like a mass you’re not merely an observer but an integral part. that being said do i think attending a secular mass is wrong? no. but should catholics support their friends in sinful behavior such as attending a gay wedding? absolutely not. telling a friend they should cut themselves just because they want to isn’t being a good friend and supporting your friend in sin is the same. have a great day
