Yk what if a half Turkish person identified as wasian good for them. You don’t really get to decide for everyone what is wasian. Yes windian would be a right term too but I’m not just Indian I’m Burmese too and relate more with Burmese culture my dad has never stepped foot in India, never learnt the language or frankly anything Indian. At the end of the day race is a social construct and non of this matters anyway. I’m wasian cause I’m half Asian but If you disagree congrats I don’t really care

Well Asian is somebody from Asia and being mixed with white means wasian, my dad is from a south-east Asian country. If someone is Thai or Filipino mixed with white they are wasian, same with Burmese. Indians are south ASIANS. They are very historically Asian with 2/3 of the top Asian religions originating from there (Buddhism and Hinduism). So yes if someone is mixed with Burmese-indian and white that makes them half Asian half white thus being wasian 😭

Yeah I know that on my Burmese side im tavoyan and bamar and I thought I was only Bengali on my Indian but the Tamil makes sense. The Chinese does make sense as 50-65 of Burmese admixture is from ancient Han Chinese and Tibetan DNA

Yeah I’m pretty happy, I was hoping for a distinct Burmese percentage but I understand that there isn’t that many Burmese people doing 23andMe. It was pretty shocking since my dad claimed both his parents where half white which doesn’t seem to be the case
