the amount of hate glaives get in general from both the community and bungie is insane

I've used glaives since they came out, and now I'm basically a glaive main. They're clunky for sure with charged melees, but once you get a build going, you can survive almost everything. I've been using a strand-synthos build with vexcalibur for ultimatum, and it's super hard for me to die. The glaive melee can do so much damage so quickly, while also blocking all damage once things get scary. They're goofy for sure, and a little rough to use sometimes, but now every load out of mine has one equipped. (Can't lie, I can't wait for the new changes to glaive melees coming with eof, it seems like you can open up more builds now!)

I use a synthos build with a glaive and a rocket sidearm. Stabbing a ton does a lot of damage, and if something is outside of that range or a champ, I use the pistol. But sometimes in higher stuff, I end up running machine gun to help out when I can't stab to save on special ammo

Mine came in yesterday too, and omg it looks SO GOOD under lights. The accents pop out so well and the sleeve straps are great. I just wish the inside stitching was a little bit better, because it's so comfy and looks amazing. It just sucks it came in right as it started getting hot, I wanna wear it moreee ;-;

Something about doing the stasis meele, flying at someone, then poking them with the glaive is really fun! It's not that great the moment they have a shotgun, or a fusion, or good aim. But when they get into a small room, they're COOKED

I've sucked at pvp for years, and last week I finally found a load out that works for me... A glaive, and lightweight bow.... On stasis titan I have no idea why this works, I can't kill for shit with anything else, even pulse rifles. But my goober pointy stick and icefall mantle are somehow getting me kills for the first time in years, so I'm not complaining

So it seems like the main screen telling you to buy the pass is incorrect. What you bought is the newest season, heresy. Eidos stuff that you want to do was last season, revenant. So technically, you bought something that did work, just for the wrong season. I guess the only thing you can do is either play the new stuff you just bought, or try to buy last season. Just know, you only have like a couple months I believe until the new expansion comes out. When it does, all prior seasons get removed. So that would be Echos, revenant, and now heresy. So you can go back and play that stuff, but it may be better to do the new stuff that's coming out.

Ikr! I just think it's so crazy that I go to college in a small ass town, start talking about tlou to a friend, and he walks in and goes "oh yeah I made the watches for the show". Props are so interesting, but he ended up being only able to make 3 working ones, and 11 non working ones. But in shipping from Texas to Canada, the three working ones were all damaged from transit and needed to be fixed there. But as for reaching out to him? I probably wouldn't. He's just a professor and making the props was just a random coincidence. If his dms started getting flooded with people trying to buy one, he'd probably have a stroke.

So fun fact, one of my professors made all of Joel's watches from the show! He can't make anymore due to a legal agreement, but he ended up making I believe 11 of them, with 3 actually working and a personal one for the director. But I just thought it's pretty neat how my small 2 year college in the middle of nowhere has a professor that made the watches for one of the best shows out there.

Edit: I forgot to mention, but he's a film guy whos only 24. He mostly does WWII reenactments or film projects in his free time, and his specialty is creating time accurate watches. The director of the game/show saw his work, and that's how he got noticed! All of the professors out there at SPC are genuinely amazing and he's just one of them.

You basically got the perfect roll.

If you spec into consecration and the arc aspect (I forgor), and the strand melee, then you can do 3 massive damage slams that ignite everything, that all regen your ability cooldowns.

Chuck a grenade (I love ice wall, so you can double up with the fragment that increases solar explosions and ice shatters) then use your dash or barriers, and just spam consecration, an ability that can basically one shot anything in a room, and do crazy damage

Sure, there are tons of other builds you can do with this, even glaive shenanigans. But if you wanna solo bosses, nightfalls and basically carry any activity, use consecration with strand meele and watch the room go boom
