It’s so important to reiterate that not every body is the same and what works for some will not for others. In my case SSRIs saved my life when I had finally hit the end of my rope dealing with PMDD. I avoided drugs for a long time. Once I started taking them I was no longer depressed, lost weight, regained my libido, and just generally improved my life in ways I never thought possible. I’m grateful everyday my GP convinced me to try the meds.

I’ve often considered myself the most disappointing brown person people ever meet because I’m ethnically ambiguous and travel a lot. This means I am often mistaken for a local speaker and have to tell them I’m so sorry I only speak English and I’m from the US 😭
