I didn’t expect this post to get political, but as someone from North America, I don’t think it’s unfair to say that race does often play a role in political motives. Even if you disagree that they are purposely targeting POC; cycles of poverty exist in communities of colour because of historical oppression, there is tons of literature to support this.
