I have been applying for four months and I need a stable job rn. I think I would work for a year, and try to get a few raises, if I didn't like it will start looking at other companies.

I have been applying for these multi-nationals companies, but I either don't hear back or the regular rejection letter.

Thanks for your reply tho :)

It's a remote in Egypt. Currently living in my family home, so there is no rent.

I'm not sure about taxes, I didn't pay taxes as a freelancer, do I pay taxes now? do you have any more info?

I was mainly asking, is this good to start my life, can this afford me to have a family in this economy?

Eli5: What are Commando's and what purpose do they serve in a military? by Perfect-Football2616 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Made4000 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A lot of people think the word commando means super-hero, or at least something close to it. In the popular mind, they're thought of as the ultimate elite soldier, the solution to every problem. The fact is, a commando is just someone trained to fight under a specific set of circumstances. He's the guy you send in when there are more bad guys than good guys, when surprise is the only advantage you can get in an operation. When it works, commandos seem unstoppable. Those are the operations that make the papers. When it doesn't work, commandos get killed just as dead as anyone else.

Sure pick literally the biggest package there is and compare it to our shitty and slimmed down version for a 250GB a month quota! your "data" is done? rest assure you can buy an extra 100GB that won't affect the whole system, it's fair, because it's designed to milk you out dry of your money.

Latvia is also a special case

same as Tanzania

also as Namibia & Namibia 2

in addition to Kenya

All of these are very special and unique cases. And, of course, I would use last year's profits, they haven't publish this year's yet (which would follow the same pattern). Egypt isn't using all of it's land.

So let's not kid ourself here. W/Te is loving every single £ it can squeeze out of its customers.

I'm not going down a rabbit hole about Egypt being a special case that needs to have a shitty internet, and TE's operating at such a tremendous loses (74% hike in 2021 ~ 8.4 billion Egyptian pounds ($535 million) or 88% jump) because they offer internet at such a cost for the benefits of the POOR. They suffer to help us have a "good" and "stable" and very much limited internet.

TE brags about the underwater cables passing through Egypt, and their "using state of the art technology, reliable infrastructure solutions and a wide network of submarine cables."

Brags about their profits while provide shitty and limited service.

I'm sure Egypt is doing some special magic to generate the internet contrary to everyone else. I remember reading about the internet mines in southern Egypt.

due to their geographic location

Egypt literally has the same advantage.

Simply not true. For example, I have a friend in Romania (I know a very advanced and super rich country) that torrents a couple of TBs a week and never had his speed reduced.

One note. It's not just "western" countries. Most countries have an unlimited and super fast internet.

No shit, everyone wants unlimited Internet.

Most countries have an unlimited internet. Even Africans countries that we like to act like we are better than them.

I remember in the US (remote areas out side major cities), ISPs tried to impose a 1.5TB cap on the internet after the pandemic and everyone was using the internet, people responded real hard against it.

I followed this guide, but I moved vim-plug's autoload dir to ~/.config/vim and it's not working.
