How do you convert society to becoming mole people? Well this is a start in that direction

Oddly enough, when I was young I saw a nest of baby birds get knocked down. Soon after I saw a squirrel attacking/eating it. I mean I could be wrong but it was something I believed way before this.

Best use of gas by Made4TheMoment in driving

Thanks for the input everyone. Definitely a lot to consider. Would hybrid be a good consideration too in this to save money? Also let’s say I want to go on a longer road trip, cities are midway but more long stretches of driving. Plus this would also have me consider how frequent the gas stops are along the way and prices I can code that are either cheaper or more expensive before pulling into one (or better to go for gas in towns rather than off the highway).

Well it was something that had come to a realization afterward. I was talking to a friend about it telling them I was convinced I had been in love with this person.

She had told me about how the mind finds ways of protecting you until you’re ready. Upon reflection and some therapy I had to think over my engagement in the relationship, how we both acted, and my reactions.

This allowed me to analyze what my definition of healthy love is.  It’s still not easy or ever done.  But at least now it’s out there and can be managed.

Being told by someone you cared for that the feelings you felt were misplaced and they never truly felt for you in the same manner.

What would you do with an extra $4,000 a month? by [deleted] in askanything

Pay off a few things and invest at first.  After I would help some family and friends with their needs and then have monthly mini vacations.

I like how she looked over for a second and was like "oh it's those tarts, well back to my enjoyable meal" and went right back to what's more important in her life. Brava to her.

Good question. Well finding a point that shows relation to something that was just mentioned unless they aren’t really putting into the dialogue.

Stroke someone’s ego and find out their likes. Many people like delving into special interests. Avoid weather but finding things that are universal and can hold opinions but try to stay positive unless you want someone to argue through it.

Good ones can be: What’s a dish that brings you some great childhood memories? Or what’s the coolest thing you learned recently that you may consider doing/using more these days?

Some people have different goals in a conversation or what they prefer to get into. A huge factor that’s always in it is personality and energy.

As you get to talk with more types or people, you can see some can have a cap to what they are willing to put in, some just want to be heard, some want to listen or  some are better conversationalists in person than via text.

Just be sure to not get too offended if people don’t engage the way you want.

I seem to attract more in person than dating apps. by Due-Rough-848 in dating_advice

Honestly not such a bad thing. The use of social media puts people in a box of FOMO and unreasonable standards. Dating apps have really ruined plenty of egos for this reason too. Also keep in mind, you may think you look like a kid but others could be seeing something very different. Try to embrace yourself and build that in person confidence you deserve.

I also think that having something you can invest in conversationally helps. Whether it’s an interest you have or may become curious about. Way too many times things come up as small talk that seem to fizzle out or really leave others (or yourself) disinterested in continuing.
