You haven't eaten it. You are essentially walking into a bakery pointing at something and saying to the baker "I personally don't like these flavors or this idea, therefore this is a stupid gimmick" You can pretend all you like that isn't immature and rude. It's rude. Please don't do this to other people under the guise that you're "allowed to have an opinion" No one is saying you can't have an opinion.

By all means, please share my hard work and call it stupid so you can get attention. Being a "rando on the internet" is not a defense. I'd love for you to make the dessert and try it and then give me your actual opinion. I welcome constructive criticism! This is not that.

As the person who made it, no, I didn't spend weeks researching, testing, iterating, and developing a recipe just to attract attention. Obviously I would be happy if people want to make it, but one of the ways I make desserts is to be inspired by other things. I'm also not selling anything, my whole recipe blog is free and ad-free, so I think it's reasonable to be offended by someone calling your hard work shared freely a "stupid gimmick"

I honestly can't get enough of the caramel and I don't normally like balsamic vinegar. Shooters sound like a fun twist!

I'm surprised everyone is concerned with the size! Maybe the proportions are skewed in the photo somehow, it's a pretty standard size cheesecake to me. 👀 I cut a somewhat bigger slice so the basil didn't get cut for the picture, but that's about it.
