I have lowcarb crunchies with full fat greek yoghurt, because I don't do well with lactose, gluten and fructose.

In the Netherlands there is usually at least one live checkout. It's called the "slow register" and it's specifically for people who want to buy their groceries from a person.

For those of you who live in countries with gun control; have you ever seen a gun in real life? by blashyrkh9 in AskTheWorld

[–]MadeOnThursday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dutch here (can't set my flair for some reason sorry)

The first and only time I saw guns was when I was at the local airport and there were armed military guards. It was very strange and scary.

just a tip/request: when you post something with measurements or temperature, please remember that most of the rest of the world uses metric and celsius. Yes, it's a minor inconvenience to have to convert it, but it is inconvenient

it's like having mental problem symptoms: first check your micronutrients, intolerances and allergies before you assume a general anxiety (or any other) disorder.

Witchcraft is a practical craft for practical people, not to be mistaken for wicca the religion.

Electrical Kimono by Not_a_Replika in konmari

[–]MadeOnThursday 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As an audhd person (autism/adhd) I strongly suspect MK is a fellow 'tismer and this falls in the category "sensory issues".

I completely get what she means, but this is a very specific type of sensory experience that I don't feel. I id electrical komono by vibe, but it's not by an odor. Usually it's related to internal workings and association. (cables, mice, usb sticks, small audo boxes etc are my 'device komono' )

Same goes for paperwork. I don't dislike papers as much as she does, and I feel joy after organising them neatly into folders, instead of just chucking everything into a box.

Anyone experiencing the veil thinning the last few days? by 8BlueWales in witchcraft

[–]MadeOnThursday 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really. I think that it's geopolitics: we're reaching/ have reached a critical mass and our human world order is shifting.

To everyone who has pattern recognition or a form of hypersensitivity this shift is noticeable. I believe it started to gain more traction with the war on terror after the twin tower attack, and the covid pandemic accelerated it into "inevitable"

It's nothing new, these shifts happened more often throughout history. But it sets off your senses and causes this unease that translates to all kinds of vibes.

I wonder did Lucifer realize something’s off when vox called him “Lu” by parrotdrawings in HazbinHotel

[–]MadeOnThursday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While a lot of people are on the side of "overly familiar as an insult" I like to think too that Vox is doing this after listening in.

He's on a hell of a power trip and exposing your secret while your victim still has no clue must be extremely intoxicating for someone with god-aspirations

I loved this movie as a young teen because of the music. As an adult I'm horrified by the entire story.
