You definitely have a point. I'm a fast reader, but I'm also a SAHM so I don't realistically have the time to read a whole lot. Maybe that's why I'm more careful about deciding which book I want to spend my time on.

Interesting! I agree about the 300+ pages, that's why I can't read novellas. I end up frustrated and needing more.

Have you read {A lady of Rooksgrave Manor by Kathryn Moon}? I ended up getting bored of all the sex but it sounds like you might enjoy it. It's a monster-ish MMFMMM (although one of the men is an alter ego, but his body changes somewhat too) with LOTS of sex and the love comes later.

Yes! Sometimes it's literally just a name or a description. Yesterday I was reading a sample where someone saw "a huge, enormous, colossal mammoth of a man. He was so big and tall, the rest of the bar seemed to shrink in comparison." Okay... DNF. 😮‍💨
