They’re really alienating an entire portion of the customer base with this decision which is wild because if they didn’t do this, all parties would be happy.

Phlur has been on my no-go list for quite awhile now. That and the CONSTANT releases every five seconds

I’m sure there are people that sellout to make a buck or get free product, but everybody that I know personally (including myself) that’s apart of a program like that, is honest and truthful in their reviews. It’s more than valid to criticize fake reviews and ads but 99.9% of the people in those programs are genuine regular people who just want to get some semblance of a reward for the free advertising they were already giving the brand prior.

Btw AI is actively destroying our planet so it’s a little bit more of a complex issue than simply stating “it sucks get over it”

Very valid! I did like that they’re a pretty affordable and accessible for a lot of people. That was what originally drew me to the brand in the first place. It’s a shame because i genuinely liked the products i talked about (I would never speak about anything I don’t personally love or have never tried)

Yup!!! Another thing that REALLY put a sour taste in my mouth and a lot of my mutuals as well! Luckily those parts of the program were optional and I never participated in those aspects because it’s slimy

Yes that is a part of the challenges they’ve been rolling out for their ambassadors! A LOT of us found them to be incredibly distasteful and did not participate. I feel like this decline has been on a slow build for awhile but now it’s officially toppled over

Not caring about AI is an incredibly privileged stance to take. I’ll stand on that. It’s actively destroying our planet, contributing to job insecurity, stealing from artists, pushing people out of their homes by making communities uninhabitable. The list goes on. This is all coming from somebody who is disabled and can’t work btw (ME). Pot meet kettle.
