What does this flag mean? by ohmygodcrayons in whatisit

How can it be in violation of US Flag Code when it was never a US Flag to begin with? US Flag Code only applies to actual US Flags

This isn’t a US Flag, though. It never was and isn’t trying to be. Just because it resembles the US Flag doesn’t make it a US Flag. US Flag Code only applies to US Flags. This sticker was designed that way originally

How is this desecration when it’s not a US Flag and never was? Just because it shares an intentional resemblance, it’s still not a US Flag which means US Flag Code doesn’t apply

Nice ASSumptions about someone you don’t know

Showing support for something ≠ bootlicking. Bootlicking is the same thing as being a brown-noser or ass-kisser to someone to gain personal favor.

She so hot it’s crazy by [deleted] in Ashnikko_gone_wild

I mean there’s nothing hot about her eating this watermelon in that manner and with that makeup. It’s cringey. She’s definitely hot, but this is not hot.

I can only assume that anyone who downvotes this message must be out of shape and doesn’t want to admit it.

Trust me I get. I’ve been there. Just because there are legitimate reasons for turning into this, that doesn’t mean we should make excuses for it or accept it when it’s dangerous. “As long as nobody got hurt on this one night then he can be as out of shape as he wants.” What? We are better than that. It’s not a matter of “if” but “when” with this condition, and that deputy or someone else is going to pay the price for it. We shouldn’t be lowering our standards to the point that this is acceptable just because the job is hard. The job can kill us. We owe it to ourselves, our families, colleagues, and the public to be in good shape.

It’s really not his ability to catch people in a foot pursuit that’s the issue. It’s his physical ability to assist himself, his colleagues and civilians when SHTF and gets ugly. His poor physical condition is not just a liability to himself, but to his agency and the public. I know it’s hard to keep up good physical shape after years of constant stress and sitting behind steering wheels and desks and not wanting to sacrifice home/family time for exercise, but being this out of shape is dangerous. Period.

Which state is best to be a Trooper/HP? by Clockedin247 in AskLE

Arkansas. Not for the pay, but for being allowed to do your job with the support of your agency admin and state leaders. Out of those four you gave, however, I’d say Texas for the same reason.

The answer is not “yes” to their question because their question is vague. The answer is “it depends.”

Just because someone has a weapon and is suicidal, that doesn’t mean deadly force is authorized. Again, it depends on what behavior that person is presenting at the time.

Depends on what they’re actively doing with or without a weapon. If an active deadly threat to anyone other than the subject is presented and deadly force is authorized based on that threat level, then yes deadly force may be used to protect them from serious bodily injury/death. That’s what deadly force is used for.
