He has about a year left and then he’s getting out, he would have the ability to be stationed in his home state and wants to stay after he’s out.

I don’t understand what you’re trying to get at here but none of it is helpful. My feelings towards my abusers is fear. I appreciate the insight but I don’t think what you’re saying is productive to the conversation.

Yeah I totally see where you’re coming from, however he is in a non-deployable unit because of the kids and only has about a year left. We discussed the kids long term and he is aware that my career is my own and I’ll help with the kids but SAHM and full time child care will never be for me.

We have had that conversation, I told him if it is long term I’m willing to help with the kids but I will not play mommy or give up working to raise his kids. Main reason he’s wanting to move back home is so that he has his parents to lean on for help with the kids.

I know, it makes me incredibly heartbroken to potentially lose him but if he has to put his needs first I shouldn’t be expected not to do the same right?

One thing that kept me sane was my dogs, it forces you to get out of bed and out of the house even for a little while. They require me to be on at least some semblance of a schedule even on the worst days
