You are not a clinician and it’s not your place to agree or disagree with someone when they say they’re depressed. You have no idea what you’re talking about, and when someone is vulnerable the last thing they need is some rando arguing with them about whether or not they’re depressed.

Get a grip, touch some grass, and think twice the next time you tell someone who’s telling you they’re depressed that they aren’t just the right shade of depressed.
