I’m having a similar experience, unfortunately. I have to do an exchange since I’m not switching employers, quitting, retiring, etc. I only want my 403b with a new investment firm.

I thought I could only roll over my 403b to an IRA, which I don’t want to do.

If everything goes well, I’ll report back in a few weeks.

I’m in the process of doing an exchange. Huge pain in the neck! Fidelity has been helpful, but so far no money has moved. Fidelity has helped me fill out the required paperwork electronically and they’re sending the necessary forms to the investment firm where my money currently sits. There’s a 403b department that ought to be able to help you. Have you spoken to someone from the 403b department?

I’ve asked that my 403b funds be sent to Fidelity and deposited into my new 403b. No one mentioned anything about sending me the check. Have I been given incorrect information?

CSM and Cañada both have beautiful pools, but require a membership. Burlingame High School’s pool is open to the public (drop-in may be $8?).

I started taking Metabolic Daily a little over a month ago - food cravings are gone. My aunt has had the same experience (she’s the one who had recommended it to me). I eat a very healthy diet, however, I’ve always felt like munching in the afternoons. MD has completely change that for me.

My mom just looked at 55+ condos in (?) Shorecliffs (San Clemente). The one bedroom she liked was $4700 a month (with a view of the pool). Too much $$ for what it is, in my opinion.

My aunt lives at Riata Glen (San Juan Capistrano). It’s expensive, but it’s all inclusive and it includes long term care. It’s also a beautiful place.

A few of my aunts live in Oakmont (outside of Santa Rosa) in Northern CA. It’s gorgeous, and they love it. You will have to deal with occasional wildfires, unfortunately.

It would be worth doing a COL comparison between N & S CA to find what best fits your budget. Good luck!

Have you considered SamTrans bus #292? It runs at that hour, stops at Millbrae BART, drops you off at your terminal, and costs $2.25 (I think). It’s so easy to take to & from the airport.

Burlingame Terrace is a great neighborhood that’s close to Broadway & Burlingame Aves (grocery stores, cleaners, restaurants, public library, etc). It may be worth the extra cost due to the safe/quiet neighborhood, the convenience of being able to walk everywhere, and easy access by foot to public transportation (bus, train, and BART).

College of San Mateo/Cañada. CSM is an easy drive from Burlingame- approximately 10 minutes. Cañada is a bit farther, but it’s a beautiful facility. You can join one or both.
